The whole issue has stirred up a lot of debate in privacy circles over the past few days. Here's what the fuss is about, and what you can do to protect your privacy if you're worried.

The Issue: Facebook's Social Apps are Always Watching

For quite some time now, Facebook's user tracking hasn't been limited to your time on the site: any third-party web site or service that's connected to Facebook or that uses a Like button is sending over your information, without your explicit permission. However, Winer noticed something mostly overlooked in last week's Facebook changes: Facebook's new Open Graph-enabled social web apps all send information to Facebook and can post to your profile or share with your friends whether you want them to or not.

Essentially, by using these apps, just reading an article, listening to a song, or watching a video, you're sending information to Facebook which can then be automatically shared with your friends or added to your profile, and Facebook doesn't ask for your permission to do it. Winer's solution is to simply log out of Facebook when you're not using it, and avoid clicking Like buttons and tying other services on the web to your Facebook account if you can help it, and he urges Facebook to make its cookies expire, which they currently do not.

Digging Deeper: Logging Out Isn't Enough

Nik Cubrilovic looked over Winer's piece, and discovered that logging out of Facebook, as Winer suggests, may deauthorize your browser from Facebook and its web applications, but it doesn't stop Facebook's cookies from sending information to Facebook about where you are and what you're doing there.

Writing at AppSpot, he discovered that Facebook's tracking cookies-which never expire, are only altered instead of deleted when a user logs out. This means that the tracking cookies still have your account number embedded in them and still know which user you are after you've logged out.

That also means that when you visit another site with Facebook-enabled social applications, from Like buttons to Open Graph apps, even though you're a logged out user, Facebook still knows you're there, and by "you," we mean specifically your account, not an anonymous Facebook user. Cubrilovic notes that the only way to really stop Facebook from knowing every site you visit and social application you use is to log out and summarily delete all Facebook cookies from your system.

Why You Should Care

If you're the type of person who doesn't really use Facebook for anything you wouldn't normally consider public anyway, you should take note: everything you do on the web is fair game. If what Cubrilovic and Winer are saying is true, Facebook considers visiting a web site or service that's connected to Facebook the same thing as broadcasting it to your friends at worst, and permission for them to know you're there at best.

Facebook says that this has nothing to do with tracking movements, and that they have no desire to collect information about where you are on the web and what you're doing. They want to make sure that you can seamlessly log in at any time to Facebook and to sites and services that connect with it and share what you're doing.

In fact, a number of Facebook engineers have posted comments to Winer's original post and Cubrilovic's analysis pointing this out. There's also some excellent discussion in this comment thread at Hacker News about the issue as well. Essentially, they say this is a feature, not a problem, so if you have an issue with it, it's up to you to do something about it.

What Can I Do About It?

Whether or not Facebook is tracking your browsing even when you're logged out, if you don't want third-party sites to send data to Facebook, you have some options. You could scrub your system clean of all Facebook.com cookies every time you use Facebook, but a number of developers have already stepped up with browser extensions to block Facebook services on third-party sites. Here are a few:

Facebook Privacy List for Adblock Plus is perfect for those of you who already have AdBlock Plus installed (get ABP for Chrome or Firefox). Just download the subscription and add it to AdBlock Plus to specifically block Facebook plugins and scripts all over the web—including the Like button-whenever you're not visiting Facebook directly.
Facebook Disconnect for Chrome keeps Facebook from dropping those tracking cookies on your system in the first place, and disables them when you're finished using Facebook-enabled services. It's essentially an on/off switch for third-party access to Facebook servers, meaning you'll still be able to log in to Facebook and use the site normally, but when you're visiting another site or using another application, that site or service won't be able to use your information to communicate with Facebook.
Disconnect for Chrome and Firefox is a new plugin from the developer behind Facebook Disconnect, but it doesn't stop with Facebook. Disconnect takes protection to a another level and blocks tracking cookies from Facebook, Google, Twitter, Digg, and Yahoo, and prevents all of those services from obtaining your browsing or search history from third party sites that you may visit. The app doesn't stop any of those services from working when you're visiting the specific sites, for you can still search at Google and use Google+, but Google's +1 button likely won't work on third party sites, for example. The extension also lets you see how many requests are blocked, in real time as they come in, and unblock select services if, for example, you really want to Like or +1 an article you read, or share it with friends.

Ultimately, the goal of all of these tools is to give you control over what you share with Facebook or any other social service, and what you post to your profile, as opposed to taking a backseat and allowing the service you're using to govern it for you. What's really at issue is exactly how deep Facebook has its fingers into your data, and how difficult they-and other social services-make it to opt out or control what's sent or transmitted. That's where extensions like these come in.

However you feel about it, Facebook likely won't change it in the near future. If you're concerned, you should to take steps to protect your privacy. As a number of commenters at Hacker News point out, it's not that there's anything inherently "good" or "evil" about what Facebook is doing-that would be oversimplifying an already complex topic. It's really an opt-in/opt-out issue.

Update: Nic Cubrilovic has posted an update to his story after discussing the matter with Facebook engineers. They have agreed to make changes to the way their cookies are stored and handled so your account information is not present when you log out of Facebook.

However, while Facebook has changed its cookie-handling process, the cookies are still retained and not deleted after logout, and do not expire. They remove your account information when you log out, but they still contain some non-personal data about your browser and the system you're using. Nic still recommends you clear your Facebook cookies after every session, and we still suggest that if you're concerned, that you do the same, and try one of the extensions above, or Priv3 or Firefox to protect yourself.

In cultures throughout the world there are myths, stories and legends that speak of a Golden Age of humanity when all of the above was actually occurring. The Bible also speaks of this age and of men who live to be 600 years old and even older.

These myths and legends also tell us about a strange and fascinating science called Alchemy. Alchemy was the sacred art of transmutation practiced in many cultures from China to India to Egypt and Tibet and many others.

The alchemical lore speaks of men and women in the past who magically created an Elixir of Life that allowed them to live for hundreds of years. These alchemists also created a powerful substance they called the Philosopher's Stone which gave them long life, mental clarity and spiritual enlightenment.

As many of you know, I have been pursuing the truth behind alchemy for over 25 years. Like most of you, I began as a skeptic, questioning the validity of the stories I read about the Philosopher's Stone and Elixir of Life.

But in reading the ancient alchemical texts I was struck by the intelligence of those who authored these odd and inexplicable books. In every case they appeared to be highly educated people who had a low tolerance for nonsense. The realization that the adepts who wrote the ancient texts on alchemy were not fools inspired me to go on with my research.

Step by step, over the course of many years, I began to unlock the secrets of the Philosopher's Stone. As I delved deeper and deeper into the literature, I slowly began to realize that the extraordinary stories of the Elixir of Life and the Stone were true.

I am releasing a new documentary film this fall called The Alchemy Code, which delves into the lore of the Stone, the metaphysical nature of reality and many other secrets from the alchemical tradition including how to make the Stone and the Elixir.

It became clear to me that once upon a time in history all humans possessed the Stone and that it was intimately connected to the emergence of the fabled Golden Age. For once everyone had the Stone, there would be very little need for wars, greed, hunger or even death. When I discovered that the Stone was easy and cheap to make I decided that it was time to bring forth this knowledge

As many people have lost their heads and more for releasing the information about how to create the Philosopher's Stone I was filled with great trepidation as I made the rounds on radio, TV and the Internet to spread the word about how to make the Stone. Also I hid one of the easiest methods for making the Stone in these discussions because I thought that some would find the information distasteful.

Another factor that was, and is, causing me great concern is the Internet kill switch. It is apparent that the Internet is going to be completely controlled very soon so it was incumbent for me, or someone, to release the information covering the proper way to make the Philosopher's Stone as soon as possible. Theoretically as the knowledge of how to make the Stone spread through out the population of the Earth via the Internet the Golden Age would eventually emerge.

If the past is a guide to the present then the powers that be have never been in favor of the release of this information. Usually releasing the information on alchemy and the Philosopher's Stone is a good way to discover what it is like to be burned at the stake.

But there is a God and luck was on my side. And now luck in on your side.

Our Universe May Be a Giant Hologram

Physicist Brian Greene explains how properties at the black hole’s surface—its event horizon—suggest the unsettling theory that our world is a mere representation of another universe, a shadow of the realm where real events take place.

If, when I was growing up, my room had been adorned with only a single mirror, my childhood daydreams might have been very different. But it had two. And each morning when I opened the closet to get my clothes, the one built into its door aligned with the one on the wall, creating a seemingly endless series of reflections of anything situated between them. It was mesmerizing. All the reflections seemed to move in unison—but that, I knew, was a mere limitation of human perception; at a young age I had learned of light’s finite speed. So in my mind’s eye, I would watch the light’s round-trip journeys. The bob of my head, the sweep of my arm silently echoed between the mirrors, each reflected image nudging the next. Sometimes I would imagine an irreverent me way down the line who refused to fall into place, disrupting the steady progression and creating a new reality that informed the ones that followed. During lulls at school, I would sometimes think about the light I had shed that morning, still endlessly bouncing between the mirrors, and I would join one of my reflected selves, entering an imaginary parallel world constructed of light and driven by fantasy.

To be sure, reflected images don’t have minds of their own. But these youthful flights of fancy, with their imagined parallel realities, resonate with an increasingly prominent theme in modern science—the possibility of worlds lying beyond the one we know.

There was a time when the word universe meant “all there is.” Everything. The whole shebang. The notion of more than one universe, more than one everything, would seemingly be a contradiction in terms. Yet a range of theoretical developments has gradually qualified the interpretation of universe. The word’s meaning now depends on context. Sometimes universe still connotes absolutely everything. Sometimes it refers only to those parts of everything that someone such as you or I could, in principle, have access to. Sometimes it’s applied to separate realms, ones that are partly or fully, temporarily or permanently, inaccessible to us; in this sense, the word relegates our universe  to membership in a large, perhaps infinitely large, collection.

With its hegemony diminished, universe has given way to other terms that capture the wider canvas on which the totality of reality may be painted. Parallel worlds or parallel universes or multiple universes or alternate universes or the metaverse, megaverse, or multiverse—they’re all synonymous, and they’re all among the words used to embrace not just our universe but a spectrum of others that may be out there.

The strangest version of all parallel universe proposals is one that emerged gradually over 30 years of theoretical studies on the quantum properties of black holes. The work culminated in the last decade, and it suggests, remarkably, that all we experience is nothing but a holographic projection of processes taking place on some distant surface that surrounds us. You can pinch yourself, and what you feel will be real, but it mirrors a parallel process taking place in a different, distant reality.

Plato likened our view of the world to that of an ancient forebear watching shadows meander across a dimly lit cave wall. He imagined our perceptions to be but a faint inkling of a far richer reality that flickers beyond reach. Two millennia later, Plato’s cave may be more than a metaphor. To turn his suggestion on its head, reality—not its mere shadow—may take place on a distant boundary surface, while everything we witness in the three common spatial dimensions is a projection of that faraway unfolding. Reality, that is, may be akin to a hologram. Or, really, a holographic movie.

The journey to this peculiar possibility combines developments deep and far-flung—insights from general relativity; from research on black holes; from thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and, most recently, string theory. The thread linking these diverse areas is the nature of information in a quantum universe.

Physicists Jacob Bekenstein and Stephen Hawking established that, for a black hole, the information storage capacity is determined not by the volume of its interior but by the area of its surface. But when the math says that a black hole’s store of information is measured by its surface area, does that merely reflect a numerical accounting, or does it mean that the black hole’s surface is where the information is actually stored? It’s a deep issue and has been pursued for decades by some of the most renowned physicists. The answer depends on whether you view the black hole from the outside or from the inside—and from the outside, there’s good reason to believe that information is indeed stored at the event horizon. This doesn’t merely highlight a peculiar feature of black holes. Black holes don’t just tell us about how black holes store information.  Black holes inform us about information storage  in any context.

Think of any region of space, such as the room in which you’re reading. Imagine that whatever happens in the region amounts to information processing—information regarding how things are right now is transformed by the laws of physics into information regarding how they will be in a second or a minute or an hour. Since the physical processes we witness, as well as those by which we’re governed, seemingly take place within the region, it’s natural to expect that the information those processes carry is also found within the region. But for black holes, we’ve found that the link between information and surface area goes beyond mere numerical accounting; there’s a concrete sense in which information is stored on their surfaces. Physicists Leonard Susskind and Gerard ’t Hooft stressed that the lesson should be general: Since the information required to describe physical phenomena within any given region of space can be fully encoded by data on a surface that surrounds the region, then there’s reason to think that the surface is where the fundamental physical processes actually happen. Our familiar three-dimensional reality, these bold thinkers suggest, would then be likened to a holographic projection of those distant two-dimensional  physical processes.

If this line of reasoning is correct, then there are physical processes taking place on some distant surface that, much as a puppeteer pulls strings, are fully linked to the processes taking place in my fingers, arms, and brain as I type these words at my desk. Our experiences here and that distant reality there would form the most interlocked of parallel worlds. Phenomena in the two—I’ll call them Holographic Parallel Universes—would be so fully joined that their respective evolutions would be as connected as me and  my shadow.

Why the multiverse, crazy as it sounds, is a solid scientific idea

The universe as we know it originated in a great explosion that we call the big bang. For nearly a century cosmologists have been studying the aftermath of this explosion: how the universe expanded and cooled down, and how galaxies were gradually pulled together by gravity. The nature of the bang itself has come into focus only relatively recently. It is the subject of the theory of inflation, which was developed in the early 1980s by Alan Guth, Andrei Linde and others, and has led to a radically new global view of the universe.
Inflation is a period of super-fast, accelerated expansion in early cosmic history. It is so fast that in a fraction of a second a tiny subatomic speck of space is blown to dimensions much greater than the entire currently observable region. At the end of inflation, the energy that drove the expansion ignites a hot fireball of particles and radiation. This is what we call the big bang.

The end of inflation is triggered by quantum, probabilistic processes and does not occur everywhere at once. In our cosmic neighborhood, inflation ended 13.7 billion years ago, but it still continues in remote parts of the universe, and other “normal” regions like ours are constantly being formed.

The new regions appear as tiny, microscopic bubbles and immediately start to grow. The bubbles keep growing without bound; in the meantime they are driven apart by the inflationary expansion, making room for more bubbles to form. This never-ending process is called eternal inflation. We live in one of the bubbles and can observe only a small part of it. No matter how fast we travel, we cannot catch up with the expanding boundaries of our bubble, so for all practical purposes we live in a self-contained bubble universe.

The theory of inflation explained some otherwise mysterious features of the big bang, which simply had to be postulated before. It also made a number of testable predictions, which were then spectacularly confirmed by observations. By now inflation has become the leading cosmological paradigm.

Another key aspect of the new worldview derives from string theory, which is at present our best candidate for the fundamental theory of nature. String theory admits an immense number of solutions describing bubble universes with diverse physical properties. The quantities we call constants of nature, such as the masses of elementary particles, Newton’s gravitational constant, and so on, take different values in different bubble types. Now combine this with the theory of inflation. Each bubble type has a certain probability to form in the inflating space. So inevitably, an unlimited number of bubbles of all possible types will be formed in the course of eternal inflation.

This picture of the universe, or multiverse, as it is called, explains the long-standing mystery of why the constants of nature appear to be fine-tuned for the emergence of life. The reason is that intelligent observers exist only in those rare bubbles in which, by pure chance, the constants happen to be just right for life to evolve. The rest of the multiverse remains barren, but no one is there to complain about that.

Some of my physicist colleagues find the multiverse theory alarming. Any theory in physics stands or falls depending on whether its predictions agree with the data. But how can we verify the existence of other bubble universes? Paul Steinhardt and George Ellis have argued, for example, that the multiverse theory is unscientific, because it cannot be tested, even in principle.

Surprisingly, observational tests of the multiverse picture may in fact be possible. Anthony Aguirre, Matt Johnson, Matt Kleban and others have pointed out that a collision of our expanding bubble with another bubble in the multiverse would produce an imprint in the cosmic background radiation—a round spot of higher or lower radiation intensity. A detection of such a spot with the predicted intensity profile would provide direct evidence for the existence of other bubble universes. The search is now on, but unfortunately there is no guarantee that a bubble collision has occurred within our cosmic horizon.

There is also another approach that one can follow. The idea is to use our theoretical model of the multiverse to predict the constants of nature that we can expect to measure in our local region. If the constants vary from one bubble universe to another, their local values cannot be predicted with certainty, but we can still make statistical predictions. We can derive from the theory what values of the constants are most likely to be measured by a typical observer in the multiverse. Assuming that we are typical—the assumption that I called the principle of mediocrity—we can then predict the likely values of the constants in our bubble.

This strategy has been applied to the energy density of the vacuum, also known as “dark energy”. Steven Weinberg has noted that in regions where dark energy is large, it causes the universe to expand very fast, preventing mater from clumping into galaxies and stars. Observers are not likely to evolve in such regions. Calculations showed that most galaxies (and therefore most observers) are in regions where the dark energy is about the same as the density of matter at the epoch of galaxy formation. The prediction is therefore that a similar value should be observed in our part of the universe.
For the most part, physicists did not take these ideas seriously, but much to their surprise, dark energy of roughly the expected magnitude was detected in astronomical observations in the late 1990s. This could be our rst evidence that there is indeed a huge multiverse out there. It has changed many minds.

The multiverse theory is still in its infancy, and some conceptual problems remain to be resolved. But, as Leonard Susskind wrote, “I would bet that at the turn of the 22nd century philosophers and physicists will look nostalgically at the present and recall a golden age in which the narrow provincial 20th century concept of the universe gave way to a bigger better [multiverse] ... of mind-boggling proportions.”

The Multiverse Strikes Back

Do you really live in a multiverse, or is this notion beyond the pale of science?

Inspired by an interesting critique of multiverses in the August issue of Scientific American, penned by relativity pioneer George F. R. Ellis, let my give you my two cents' worth.

Multiverse ideas have traditionally received short shrift from the establishment: Giordano Bruno with his infinite-space multiverse got burned at the stake in 1600 and Hugh Everett with his quantum multiverse got burned on the physics job market in 1957. I've even felt some of the heat first-hand, with senior colleagues suggesting that my multiverse-related publications were nuts and would ruin my career. There's been a sea-change in recent years, however. Parallel universes are now all the rage, cropping up in books, movies and even jokes: "You passed your exam in many parallel universes—but not this one."

This airing of ideas certainly hasn't led to a consensus among scientists, but it's made the multiverse debate much more nuanced and, in my opinion, more interesting, with scientists moving beyond shouting sound bites past each other and genuinely trying to understand opposing points of view. George Ellis's new article is a great example of this, and I highly recommend reading it if you haven't already.

By our universe, I mean the spherical region of space from which light has had time to reach us during the 13.7 billion years since our big bang. When talking about parallel universes, I find it useful to distinguish between four different levels: Level I (other such regions far away in space where the apparent laws of physics are the same, but where history played out differently because things started out differently), Level II (regions of space where even the apparent laws of physics are different), Level III (parallel worlds elsewhere in the so-called Hilbert space where quantum reality plays out), and Level IV (totally disconnected realities governed by different mathematical equations).

In his critique, George classifies many of the arguments in favor of these multiverse levels and argues that they all have problems. Here's my summary of his main anti-multiverse arguments:

1) Inflation may be wrong (or not eternal)
2) Quantum mechanics may be wrong (or not unitary)
3) String theory may be wrong (or lack multiple solutions)
4) Multiverses may be unfalsifiable
5) Some claimed multiverse evidence is dubious
6) Fine-tuning arguments may assume too much
7) It's a slippery slope to even bigger multiverses

(George didn't actually mention (2) in the article, but I'm adding it here because I think he would have if the editor had allowed him more than six pages.)

What's my take on this critique? Interestingly, I agree with all of these seven statements and nonetheless, I'll still happily bet my life savings on the existence of a multiverse!

Let's start with the first four. Inflation naturally produces the Level I multiverse, and if you add in string theory with a landscape of possible solutions, you get Level II, too. Quantum mechanics in its mathematically simplest ("unitary") form gives you Level III. So if these theories are ruled out, then key evidence for these multiverses collapses.

Remember: Parallel universes are not a theory—they are predictions of certain theories.

To me, the key point is that if theories are scientific, then it's legitimate science to work out and discuss all their consequences even if they involve unobservable entities. For a theory to be falsifiable, we need not be able to observe and test all its predictions, merely at least one of them. My answer to (4) is therefore that what's scientifically testable are our mathematical theories, not necessarily their implications, and that this is quite OK. For example, because Einstein's theory of general relativity has successfully predicted many things that we can observe, we also take seriously its predictions for things we cannot observe, e.g., what happens inside black holes.

Likewise, if we're impressed by the successful predictions of inflation or quantum mechanics so far, then we need to take seriously also their other predictions, including the Level I and Level III multiverse. George even mentions the possibility that eternal inflation may one day be ruled out—to me, this is simply an argument that eternal inflation is a scientific theory.

String theory certainly hasn't come as far as inflation and quantum mechanics in terms of establishing itself as a testable scientific theory. However, I suspect that we'll be stuck with a Level II multiverse even if string theory turns out to be a red herring. It's quite common for mathematical equations to have multiple solutions, and as long as the fundamental equations describing our reality do, then eternal inflation generically creates huge regions of space that physically realize each of these solutions. For example, the equations governing water molecules, which have nothing to do with string theory, permit the three solutions corresponding to steam, liquid water and ice, and if space itself can similarly exist in different phases, inflation will tend to realize them all.

George lists a number of observations purportedly supporting multiverse theories that are dubious at best, like evidence that certain constants of nature aren't really constant, evidence in the cosmic microwave background radiation of collisions with other universes or strangely connected space, etc. I totally share his skepticism to these claims. In all these cases, however, the controversies have been about the analysis of the data, much like in the cold fusion debacle. To me, the very fact that scientists are making these measurements and arguing about data details is further evidence that this is within the pale of science: this is precisely what separates a scientific controversy from a nonscientific one!

Our universe appears surprisingly fine-tuned for life in the sense that if you tweaked many of our constants of nature by just a tiny amount, life as we know it would be impossible. Why? If there's a Level II multiverse where these "constants" take all possible values, it's not surprising that we find ourselves in one of the rare universes that are inhabitable, just like it's not surprising that we find ourselves living on Earth rather than Mercury or Neptune. George objects to the fact that you need to assume a multiverse theory to draw this conclusion, but that's how we test any scientific theory: we assume that it's true, work out the consequences, and discard the theory if the predictions fail to match the observations. Some of the fine-tuning appears extreme enough to be quite embarrassing—for example, we need to tune the dark energy to about 123 decimal places to make habitable galaxies. To me, an unexplained coincidence can be a tell-tale sign of a gap in our scientific understanding. Dismissing it by saying "We just got lucky—now stop looking for an explanation!" is not only unsatisfactory, but is also tantamount to ignoring a potentially crucial clue.

George argues that if we take seriously that anything that could happen does happen, we're led down a slippery slope toward even larger multiverses, like the Level IV one. Since this is my favorite multiverse level, and I'm one of the very few proponents of it, this is a slope that I'm happy to slide down!

George also mentions that multiverses may fall foul of Occam's razor by introducing unnecessary complications. As a theoretical physicist, I judge the elegance and simplicity of a theory not by its ontology, but by the elegance and simplicity of its mathematical equations—and it's quite striking to me that the mathematically simplest theories tend to give us multiverses. It's proven remarkably hard to write down a theory which produces exactly the universe we see and nothing more.

Finally, there's an anti-multiverse argument which I commend George for avoiding, but which is in my opinion the most persuasive one of all for most people: the parallel universes just seems too weird to be true.

Having looked at anti-multiverse arguments, let's now analyze the pro-multiverse case a bit more closely. I'm going to argue that all the controversial issues melt away if we accept the External Reality Hypothesis: there exists an external physical reality completely independent of us humans. Suppose that this hypothesis is correct. Then most multiverse critique rests on some combination of the following three dubious assumptions:

1) Omnivision assumption: physical reality must be such that at least one observer can in principle observe all of it.

2) Pedagogical reality assumption: physical reality must be such that all reasonably informed human observers feel they intuitively understand it.

3) No-copy assumption: no physical process can copy observers or create subjectively indistinguishable observers.

(1) and (2) appear to be motivated by little more than human hubris. The omnivision assumption effectively redefines the word "exists'' to be synonymous with what is observable to us humans, akin to an ostrich with its head in the sand. Those who insist on the pedagogical reality assumption will typically have rejected comfortingly familiar childhood notions like Santa Claus, local realism, the Tooth Fairy, and creationism—but have they really worked hard enough to free themselves from comfortingly familiar notions that are more deeply rooted? In my personal opinion, our job as scientists is to try to figure out how the world works, not to tell it how to work based on our philosophical preconceptions.

If the omnivision assumption is false, then there are unobservable things that exist and we live in a multiverse.

If the pedagogical reality assumption is false, then the objection that multiverses are too weird makes no logical sense.

If the no-copy assumption is false, then there's no fundamental reason why there can't be copies of you elsewhere in the external reality—indeed, both eternal inflation and unitary quantum mechanics provide mechanisms for creating them.

We humans have a well-documented tendency toward hubris, arrogantly imagining ourselves at center stage, with everything revolving around us. We've gradually learned that it's instead we who are revolving around the sun, which is itself revolving around one galaxy among countless others. Thanks to breakthroughs in physics, we may be gaining still deeper insights into the very nature of reality.

The price we have to pay is becoming more humble—which will probably do us good—but in return we may find ourselves inhabiting a reality grander than our ancestors dreamed of in their wildest dreams.

BRAY’ POINT – Confirmed reports of UFOs “hovering” and thousands of “flashing lights” over the epicenter of Friday’s main earthquake in Japan – located off Miyagi Prefecture, about 230 miles northeast of Tokyo – and UFO’s spotted near Osaka and Yokohama, are predicted in the recent British government release of 8,500 pages of secret unidentified flying object (UFO) reports that point to 60 years of UFO sightings “during times of world crisis.”

According to Japan’s Kyodo News Agency and other Japanese media, there’s been hundreds and upwards of “thousands of UFO sightings” over the country since Friday’s 8.9 magnitude earthquake. Also, video footage from the news channel NHK World English and personal videos show a UFO speeding with bright lights in the sky and then skimming over the Pacific near the quake zones in Japan. The UFO sighting videos have been show on regional TV and the Internet since Friday, with the world UFO community noting “strange light trails following the UFO’s over Japan.”

Moreover, a rare air defense video from Japan shows a new UFO flying over the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Regan early Monday morning, as the carrier and accompanying guided-missile cruiser and destroyer ships arrived off Japan’s coast to help with disaster response.

Here at Bray’s Point – a popular location for viewing UFOs by the local Oregon “watcher” group – there’s more or less calm along the stretch of coastline that was slammed on Friday with massive Tsunami waves.

Famed UFO author and “watcher” Jacqueline Estrella and her daughter Marie surveyed the Bray’s Point beach on Sunday afternoon looking for the usual Japanese fishing floats and other debris that she said “is common after a major storm.”

“You look directly out across the Pacific and if you were traveling by, say any vast amount of speed, would find yourself in Japan because it directly across the sea from us. I told Marie that you wonder what our friends up in the sky are doing right now over there and here for that matter. It’s a wonder, and a great time to be alive if you believe,” Estrella added with a big grin.

This story is number two in an occasional series of reports about what the secret British UFO files contain, and what new information these documents reveal.

Secret UFO files point to world disasters and sightings

The British government’s massive hoard of secret UFO files – that basically confirms that we are not alone and UFO’s and alien life of some sort has been visiting Earth since there was a human being here – also points to startling record keeping that links major world calamities to what one secret file calls as “startling increases in UFOs.”

The British UFO files also tap into U.S. Freedom of Information Act files – per the Brits cross referenced their UFO findings with yet to be released secret American government reports on UFO sightings – and mention a “Federal Bureau of Investigation of the late Dr. Josef Allen Hynek.”

The British files are vague when it comes to Hynek, a famed American UFO hunter and an icon in the world history of UFOs and alien life on Earth. Still, the files try and explain why Hynek – an astronomer and physicist – was a consultant to the American Defense Department for nearly 15 years, and also served as the founder for the “Center for UFO Studies” that’s longed reported secret UFO findings to both the U.S. government, its allies and even the United Nations.

The British UFO reports link Hynek’s studies on “world disasters” and why UFO sightings increase. For instance, there’s been hundreds of Japanese media reports over the past several days about UFOs in the skies over those Japanese cities that have been hit hard by the earthquake and the resulting Tsunami.

Hynek, former chairman of the Department of Astronomy at Northwestern University, and director of the Lindheimer Astronomical Research Center, was a somewhat strange sort of fellow, as this reporter remembers during a 1977 interview that I had with Hynek when reporting my first Air Force UFO story.

Now, some 33 years later, this reporter notes a 1977 memo -- in the newly released secret British UFO files -- where Hynek gave a report to a congressional House subcommitte on the “historically significant ties to UFOs and disasters” in both the U.S. and other parts of the world.

Hynek, it seems, was ahead of his time in efforts to explain why there’s “many more UFO” sightings at a time of crisis, be it a war or an earthquake here on Earth.

British UFO files confirm Lords and Queen knew about it

The overall message from nearly 60 years of the British government keeping secret UFO files away from the public domain, states the London-based newspaper, the Guardian, is “people were kept in the dark and treated as fools when they shared UFO information to the police or government.”

While the matter of UFOs has generally been the subject of ridicule, the British government, in releasing their “secrets” after nearly 60 years – during the official release on March 3 – have, said one prominent spokesperson in their government – “let the people of Great Britain down” by allowing so much to be kept secret for so very long.

Meanwhile, the Guardian and other British media have come down hard on the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) for calling people “nuters” who reported UFO’s while the country’s top aristocrats, the famed House of Lords and even the Queen of England, had knowledge of the secret UFO files.

Within the previously classified files – that contain more than 8,500 files, with some available to the public and others “on hold” for various security reasons – there is the startling admission by the MoD that “this UFO phenomenon had been discussed at the highest levels of government worldwide, and in 1979 the House of Lords held Parliament’s first (as far as we know) full debate among lawmakers on the subject.”

The subject of course was tens of thousands of confirmed UFO sightings by British police, government officials, members of the Royal Air Force and a host of others that the House of Lords deemed “credible” and “above reproach.”

Simply put, said one British media analyst after the MoD admission that it kept these UFO findings secret for more than 60 years, “they blew it.”

At the same time, it may be lost on those who don’t understand Britain’s government system where it’s House of Lords is made up of people who have inherited family titles and those who have been given titles because of their vast financial and property holdings as well as being linked in some way to the Royal Family.

There are 675 members of the House of Lords – some of the most highly educated people in the world – who, for whatever reasons, kept secret UFO briefings and discussions secret to the world since their formal review of the subject matter in 1979.

Moreover, the main job of the House of Lords is to “double check” the governments laws to “make sure they’re correct and will work.”

Also, the Queen of England is the official Head of State and is “briefed on all House of Lords actions,” states a talking paper on how the British Parliament works.

While the Queen herself plays no part in determining decisions made in Parliament, the talking paper notes that “the Queen is keenly aware of what the House of Lords and other government agencies are doing.”

Another startling revelation that’s revealed in the recent release of secret United Kingdom UFO files, is a “fascination with America’s September 11 terrorists attacks in 2001,” stated a recent review of the reports in various British media broadcasts.

While the British UFO files are sketchy, there is a mention that “15 unidentified aircraft (UFOs) were detected on radar approaching the United Kingdom on the actual day of 9/11.”

What We Stand to Win by the Worldwide March of Millions, March 6, 2011

The 2012 Scenario

One of the most useful aspects of calling for a worldwide expression of solidarity with the Light (a Worldwide March of Millions) is that it elevates the discussion we've been having.

The Worldwide March of Millions is a call for either a rally, march, or gathering, as the organizers choose, in major cities, state and provincial capitals, and national capitals for March 6, 2011, at 12:00 a.m. (that is, 12:00 noon) local time to express solidarity with the Light. It is a call for the people of the world to be on the march, on the move for freedom.

In countries that permit freedom of assembly and peaceful expression, it may be an organized march or rally; in countries that don't, it may be an ad hoc gathering or simply an expression of opinion via posters or the Internet, as the situation requires. We are asking people to do whatever they can while preserving their safety and security. In all circumstances, we call for the peaceful, non-violent expression of the people's wishes. Violence in any form is not encouraged or condoned.

It encourages the citizens of each country to gather and express themselves on political issues of freedom and democracy, human-rights issues of persecution, and issues of criminality which stand in the way of the population realizing a global end to despotism, repression, inequality, poverty, and other intolerable conditions of life.

We've created a bigger problem than we had a week ago and it calls on us to reach more deeply within ourselves and come up with larger answers and more extensive solutions. The discussion that this involves is itself a vital part of the overall event.

For example, we may have remained on the fringes of the discussion of the Light and the dark, say, two weeks ago. But now we are obliged to really dig in, think for ourselves and arrive at deeper distinctions. What do we mean by forces that serve the Light and forces that serve the dark? What issues are we referring to?

In the West, we face issues like the erosion of constitutional rights, the transfer of wealth from the many to the few, the launch of pandemics on the population, the use of tainted vaccines producing conditions like autism, control of the media, the spread of censorship of the Internet, poisoning of the water supply with fluorides, poisoning of the air with chemtrails, the spread of genetically-modified grains and foods, the rigging of elections, warmongering, the transfer of wealth through increased military spending, weather warfare using HAARP and scalar weapons, false-flag or state terrorism, and so on.

In other parts of the world, issues may be different. They may focus more on the inequality of women, state torture, dictatorial regimes and the denial of democracy, child labor, sexual slavery, honor killings, dowry deaths, mandatory abortions for more than one child, compulsory sterilization, a lack of basic civil rights like freedom of expression and freedom of assembly, the occupation of one state by another, lack of access to the Internet, lack of educational facilities, lack of medical care, artificially-high food prices, etc.

Our view of what separates the Light and the dark may have been not well-developed. We may have held it to be service or no service to self. End of question. Easy answer.

But now, by creating a bigger problem through calling for worldwide marches and rallies, we force ourselves to get more detailed and specific. We have to dig deeper and that's what creating a bigger problem does.

Let's ask ourselves: What does distinguish the Light from the dark? Well, in my view, a number of things.

The Light is committed to personal freedom for all; the dark is committed to personal freedom for some at the expense of others. So for instance the regimes of Hosni Mubarak, Muammar Ghaddafi and the mullahs of Iran allow for the freedom of the ruling elite but deny freedom to the people. Because they deny freedom to the masses, these regimes come to be seen by us as dark.

The Light will not violate freedom of choice, except under certain circumstances prescribed by the Divine for the service of all. Thus the Light will interfere with the freedom to explode a nuclear bomb or freedom to stage another 9/11. But the dark regularly violates freedom of choice by exploding bombs, engineering false-flag terrorist incidents, controlling minds, dumbing people down, and a wide range of other actions. To them freedom of choice is not something to be honored but in fact something to be curtailed and this difference in commitment separates the Light from the dark.

The Light is committed to abundance for all; the dark is committed to a transfer of wealth from the many to the few. We see this over and over again all over the world. Conservatives in developed countries speak of entrenchment and austerity but what they really mean is that they don't want to spend tax dollars on social-welfare - on education, medicare, unemployment insurance. In fact they want to spend tax dollars on munitions, which means that those tax dollars will end up in their pockets and not be spent on the welfare of the masses.

The Light says, no, we have a plan that will see abundance spread over all the population. You and I know that plan as NESARA (National Economic and Social Reformation Act), the "wisdom economy," or the “abundance program” and we hear that it is divine in nature. The Light is differentiated from the dark by being committed to abundance for all rather than abundance for the few.

The Light is committed to nonviolence and world peace. The dark is committed to violence and warfare. We hear that the dark are busy trying to start World War III to depopulate the globe. Depopulating the globe in itself, or “culling the useless eaters,” means murder. Murder through war, murder through chemtrails, murder through pandemics, etc. The dark is committed to harming other people, to violence of all kinds – sexual slavery, child labor, racial discrimination, religious intolerance, the list could go on and on.

The Light is committed to harmlessness, nonviolence and peace. We've heard the galactics like Hatonn and SaLuSa say that the Light would not kill the dark, even though the dark kills others. God would never sanction killing and the Light serves God. The Light obeys the universal laws. To be sure, the law of karma sees that one who lives by the sword dies by the sword but it isn't violent itself; it is neutral and leaves the determination of result to the cause. The Light says they will see that no nculear weapons work on Earth and that peace comes to reign globally. The dark's commitment to harm and the Light's commitment to harmlessness is therefore another basic difference.

And we could look at all the major freedoms and virtues and see the divide between Light and dark replicated throughout. The Light is for harmony; the dark for conflict. The Light is for security; the dark is for insecurity. The Light is for truth; the dark is for disinformation and fabrication.

Because the dark fabricates, it will confuse the matter by saying it is in fact for freedom and democracy. How often did George Bush say that while blowing up the World Trade Center and declaring illegal wars against Afghanistan and Iraq? How often did he say it while curtailing constitutional rights through the Patriot Act and other measures? Regularly Bush, his administration, and the "national-security state," told us they were the guardians of values which they equally-regularly contravened. They had no respect for the truth and this again differentiated them from the Light.

By their commitments shall ye know them. Not by their expressions of commitment, because the dark will lie, but by their actual commitments.

In the West, we see around us FEMA camps, deep underground military bunkers, body scanners, closed-circuit TV, intrusive and invasive nanotechnology, chemtrail aircraft, crowd-control weapons – all the paraphernalia of social control and harmfulness. No matter what the dark says, their commitments show up in their equipment and technologies and the plans for their use.

The military when serving the dark employs tear gas, beats protesters, or shoots at crowds with rubber or real bullets. The military while serving the Light does none of these, but faces outwards and protects the crowd from all forms of attack.

The people cannot be fooled unless they close their eyes or want to be fooled. Until now they have simply felt powerless to effect change and so have declined to consider these matters.

But now we are no longer powerless. A conscious convergence is forming in people around the globe that we no longer need to remain subject to dictatorship, repression, torture, international crime, etc. Together we are far stronger than those who are against us. It is time to take back our countries, take back the streets, take back the night, take back our freedom and peace.

But not until we create for ourselves a really big problem, like taking upon ourselves wordlwide the task of throwing off the chains of the dark, do we begin to see the total picture. Our continued growth and learning depends on being willing to take on more and more, being willing to rest in not knowing and still take action, being willing to challenge a "greater" power than us who never until now did we think we could overcome.

These times may be challenging and yield anxious moments. But they are also yielding tremendous growth and greater comprehension. We will not be the same at the end of them, no matter what way things develop. We will be greater, braver, and wiser for the experience. But more to the point we may win back the freedom, peace and harmony of the people in a world that works for everyone.

Concordo inteiramente com esse pedido para ampliar a chamada aos povos de todo o mundo.

Por esta razão, convoco os povos de todo o mundo para se unirem numa "Marcha Mundial de Milhões," a ser efectuada em 6 de Março de 2011, às 12:00 horas, hora local, em todas as cidades principais, capitais de estados ou de províncias, bem como nas capitais de todos os países.

O propósito desta Marcha Mundial de Milhões é fazer chegar, de um modo pacífico e amistoso, os nossos pedidos a todos os governos para tomarem medidas eficientes a fim de acabar com a opressão, exploração e perseguição do povo e, mais especificamente, acabar com:

Os Fundadores dos Estados Unidos reconheceram que, no decurso dos acontecimentos humanos, era chegado o tempo do povo arremessar para longe os cadeados da tirania. Os direito inalienáveis estavam em risco.

Desde então passou muito tempo e agora já não é necessário derrubar o governo. Os Estados Unidos ainda têm instituições políticas e outras que funcionam e que podem ter uma acção reparadora sem derramamento de sangue ou violência.

Não sugiro que os manifestantes peçam a queda do governo, porque, em minha opinião, há nele elementos suficientes que são honestos, e que a transição de situação actual para um governo limpo pode ser realizada sem necessidade de uma revolução.

Considero o Presidente Barack Obama um chefe íntegro e corajoso, com recursos e sabedoria para limpar o governo, se tiver o apoio do povo e não a sua oposição.

Declaro ser minha crença que a elite das trevas, influenciou através do controlo da imprensa, fontes de desinformação tais como unidades de operações negras da CIA, amigos na comunicação social, na política e religião, para criar o descrédito público e a oposição ao Presidente Obama.

Apresento à vossa consideração que, de facto, o Presidente é um ser humano espiritualmente evoluído, muito denegrido, mas próprio para conduzir os Estados Unidos para fora da escravização da cabala. Embora rodeado e estorvado pela cabala, ele não faz parte dela. The bizarre sequence of symbols, charts and figures have baffled the world of science for the last 100 years.

But now thanks to carbon dating, researchers have finally begun to pick apart the secrets of the Voynich manuscript, the most alien artifact of its kind in the world.

They have been able to determine for the first time that it was written in the early 15th century, more than 100 years earlier than previously thought.

The manuscript was discovered by rare book dealer Wilfrid Voynich in the Villa Mondragone near Rome in 1912 as he was trawling through a chest of books.

He spent the remaining 18 years of his life trying to decipher its mixture of plants, circles and humans praying to the fountain of youth but died before completing his task.

The manuscript has been passed down through generations of scientists since then who have concluded that it is some kind of language - even if they don’t know what it means.

The latest to take up the challenge were a team from the University of Arizona who dissected four 1mm by 6mm sections from four sample pages they were given by the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Yale University, which is where it is being stored.

Other experts also looked at the paints and inks that were used by the mysterious author.

Dr Greg Hodgins, an assistant research scientist and assistant professor in the UA's department of physics, who led the project, said that they found some of the colours were consistent with those used in the Renaissance.

But what really helped was the carbon dating process, which is where scientists measure the amount of radioisotope Carbon 14 which occurs naturally in objects and decays at a predictable rate, making it possible to use it to date things.

That process allowed Dr Hodgins to pinpoint the early 15th century as the only time the manuscript could have been written.

‘I find this manuscript is absolutely fascinating as a window into a very interesting mind. Piecing these things together was fantastic.'

'It's a great puzzle that no one has cracked, and who doesn't love a puzzle?’ he said.

‘Is it a code, a cipher of some kind? People are doing statistical analysis of letter use and word use - the tools that have been used for code breaking. But they still haven't figured it out.’

Dr Hodgins added that he found the text shows ‘strange characteristics like repetitive word use or the exchange of one letter in a sequence.

‘Oddities like that make it really hard to understand the meaning.

‘Who knows what's being written about in this manuscript, but it appears to be dealing with a range of topics that might relate to alchemy.

‘Secrecy is sometimes associated with alchemy, and so it would be consistent with that tradition if the knowledge contained in the book was encoded.

'What we have are the drawings. Just look at those drawings: Are they botanical? Are they marine organisms? Are they astrological? Nobody knows.'

INTRODUCTION

Whatever happened to the ‘Ten Lost Tribes’ of Israel? A reasonable question to ask if you’re into studying migration patterns of ancient people. According to the late historian Glenn Kimball the tribes (descendants of the Exodus) were never really lost at all, so what gave Kimball the confidence to say this? Quite simple, the Lost Tribes can be found deep within the Kolbrin MS. Kimball studied the Coelbren text for many years and ultimately came to the conclusion that:

- Supply evidence the Kolbrin MS and Coelbren Alphabet are authentic.

- Follow the Lost Tribes migration and settlement within the British Isles, taken from the Kolbrin text.

- Uncover details within the Kolbrin MS to support at least one seafaring journey to North America.

- Divulge warnings from the Lost Tribe prophet—Elidor—linking his prophecy to a returning celestial object called the Frightener (or Destroyer). You will be surprised who he really is.

In my book, Planet X and the Kolbrin Bible Connection I put forth the argument that the Destroyer is clearly defined within the Kolbrin MS linking Nibiru, Planet X and the Destroyer as all being one of the same celestial object. As a Nibiru researcher, this is important because the biggest point I’m driving at in this article is the fact that the Lost Tribes also knew all about this returning planetoid. After all, the Kolbrin is their bible!

AUTHENTICITY OF THE KOLBRIN MS

One aspect that gives credence to the Kolbrin’s authenticity comes from written observations of science recorded hundreds of years before officially being discovered in modern time. Let’s take a look at three verses:

Exhibit 1: “GLN:12:47 Yosira taught the people that the power of hokew resided not in the flesh of the body but in the bones, and that in each bone contained the essence of all being, man and woman.”

In this verse the Kolbrin clearly identifies DNA. Found within bone marrow, the double-helix DNA strand wasn’t discovered until 1953. Headlines read throughout the world: “The Secret of life had been found.” Yet the Kolbrin MS confirmed this long ago saying “In each human bone contained the essence of all being.” DNA!

Exhibit 2: “GLN:4:19...Great stones were hung from ropes of plaited leather, and the ship...300 cubits long... was without mast or oars...”

This Kolbrin verse clearly identifies ancient anchor stones. The photograph to the right shows an anchor stone in the Ararat desert region near the city of Dogubayazit. This is a stone ‘weight’ obviously hung from an immense ship from ancient times confirming, in my opinion, the validity of Noah’s ark.

Exhibit 3: "GLN:3:5 In olden times, there were spawned great beasts in fearful form, with frightful gnashing teeth and long ripping claws; an elephant was but a rat in comparison with them. Then, [over time] the beasts were changed to stone. This was beforetimes, when the DESTROYER slumbered in the upper vaults of heaven.”

In this last verse the Kolbrin clearly identifies Dinosaurs, not only that, it describes them becoming fossilized, (“changed to stone.”) In Haddonfield, New Jersey the first official American dinosaur wasn’t discovered until 1858. Fossils were found in the States before this date although their true nature had not been correctly deduced. Again, the Kolbrin MS was written centuries before 1858 and already contained information on the Dinosaur which also tells me this manuscript is genuine.

AUTHENTICITY OF THE WELSH COELBREN ALPHABET

For over 200 years now the Coelbren alphabet has been ridiculed, scoffed at and targeted as an outright forgery. Historically speaking, there seems to be deep-rooted animosity attributed to this language which is well beyond my scope of research here. Thus I will leave for others to debate as to the reasons why. That being said, two British History researchers Alan Wilson and Baram Blackett have broken new ground and declared the Coelbren Alphabet to be authentic. See below:

“The ciphers of the [ancient Coelbren] Alphabet were preserved by Llewellyn Sion of Glamorgan around AD 1540 – 1560. Therefore it is known which cipher means which modern letter of our present Alphabet...The Elucidator [see image to the right] is a frame made of sticks, some three sided, others squared, on the flat surface of which were carved the Bardic aphorisms. Three sided ones contained a complete triad.”

Wilson and Blackett go on to say:

[This] “Alphabet is identically described, and matching British records, in the Nag Hamadi documents of the Gnostic church that were buried before AD 400 and discovered in 1945. Large numbers of [Welsh] mediaeval poets mentioned and described the ancient British Alphabet, starting with Daffydd ap Gwilym died AD 1367 and going onto around AD 1475. Rhys Goch of Oswestry wrote a poem lampooning this Coelbren Alphabet in AD 1582. Therefore allegations that this ancient British Alphabet is a fake that was forged around AD 1800 are ludicrous.” (3)

THE KHUMRY ARE THE LOST TEN TRIBES

From my investigation there is a clear connection between the Welsh and the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel.

Firstly, the Lost Tribes were known to the ancient Assyrian Emperors and Kings as the Khumry people. Secondly, the ‘Nation of Khumry’ was actually misnamed as the "Welsh" by the ancient Saxons using the High German Anglo-Saxon word "wallische" meaning "stranger. Thirdly, it’s not surprising then that the same migrating Khumry people spoke the same language as the ancient Welsh which can be read on ancient stones in Wales, Scotland and England between 200-600AD and even as late as 1120AD.

With this connection established one can retrace the Khumry route by identifying the ancient Coelbren Alphabet inscriptions used along the Khumry migration trail. Wilson and Blackett write:

“There are traditions of the Ancient British Coelbren Alphabet being identical with Ancient Etruscan, Rhaetian, and Pelasgian Alphabets. Even Julius Caesar makes mention of this alphabet...Caesar described the ancient British Alphabet circa 55BC. Ammianus Marcellinus also described the British Alphabet and actually stated that the Greeks got their Alphabet from the British...[From Assyria the Khumry] left Armenia and migrated westwards through Asia Minor. The Alphabet appears in the Aegean, and in ancient Palestine and Egypt. From the Dardanelles in Asia Minor half of these people went to Italy to found the Etruria in 650BC, and the remaining half sailed for Britain in 504BC.” (

Further evidence this language is legitimate can be found in the Athens Museum. A rather large stone resides there inscribed with the Ancient British Coelbren Alphabet found on Lemnos Island in 1876AD. Other artefacts have also surfaced reported on by Wilson and Blackett:

“A strange Khumric Triad notation of around 1000 years ago indicates the Egyptian connection and specifically refers to the Hieroglyphic writings. The clear inference is that Khumric is the basic language of the Hieroglyphics at that time...Professor Sir John Morris Jones wrote a Thesis in 1898 that demonstrated how the complex Khumric Syntax and that of Ancient Egypt were identical. Plus the fact that the same seven vowels - A E I O U W Y - were used in Ancient Egypt and the Khumry.”(3)

So to sum up here is a quick synopsis of the Khurmy migration pattern:

- With the Destroyer (Nibiru) overhead, the Israelites flee Egypt under Moses circa 1628BC.

- After wandering in the desert, they settle in Canaan, only to be uprooted north to Armenia by the Assyrians circa 740-702BC.

- They migrate towards the west through the Taurus Mountains in 687BC and reach the Dardanelles sea-route by 650BC.

- At this point approximately half of the Khumry people migrate to Italy.

- The other-half congregate on Lemnos Island in 504BC along with the Trojans and set sail for the Rock of Gibraltar, the British Isles and ultimately North America.

Yes, I realize there is a lot to digest here, especially if one has never heard of the Khumry people. So as you read the extensive Kolbrin passages I’ve provided keep in mind this is from the Lost Tribes point of view. Using this context you will gain new insight into their wanderings and past history that is not well known to us:

THE KHUMRY FOREFATHERS GROUND ZERO

There’s no question large-scale natural catastrophes can force people to migrate. A natural trigger event can induce mass-movements of the population very quickly and a classic example of this comes from Exodus in the Old-Testament. The Kolbrin MS clearly states that the trigger event in this case was the Destroyer that literally ‘passed-over’ the Khumry forefathers heads whilst they were fleeing Egypt:

“MAN:6:19 On the great night of the DESTROYER’s wrath, when its terror was at its height, there was a hail of rocks and the Earth heaved as pain rent her bowels. Gates, columns and walls were consumed by fire and the statues of gods were overthrown and broken. People fled outside their dwellings in fear and were slain by the hail. Those who took shelter from the hail were swallowed when the Earth split open.

MAN:6:20 The habitations of men collapsed upon those inside and there was panic on every hand, but the slaves who lived in huts in the reedlands, at the place of pits, were spared. The land burnt like tinder, a man watched upon his rooftops and the Heavens hurled wrath upon him and he died.

MAN:6:21 The land writhed under the wrath of the DESTROYER and groaned with the agony of Egypt. It shook itself and the temples and palaces of the nobles were thrown down from their foundations. The highborn ones perished in the midst of the ruins and all the strength of the land was stricken. Even the great one, the first born of Pharaoh, died with the highborn in the midst of the terror and falling stones. The children of princes were cast out into the streets and those who were not cast out died within their abodes.

MAN:6:22 There were nine days of darkness and upheaval, while a tempest raged such as never had been known before. When it passed away brother buried brother throughout the land. Men rose up against those in authority and fled from the cities to dwell in tents in the outlands.

MAN:6:23 Egypt lacked great men to deal with the times. The people were weak from fear and bestowed gold, silver, lapis lazuli, turquoise and copper upon the slaves, and to their priests they gave chalices, urns and ornaments. Pharaoh alone remained calm and strong in the midst of confusion. The people turned to wickedness in their weakness and despair. Harlots walked through the streets unashamed. Women paraded their limbs and flaunted their womanly charms. Highborn women were in rags and the virtuous were mocked.

MAN:6:24 The slaves spared by the DESTROYER left the accursed land forthwith. Their multitude moved in the gloom of a half dawn, under a mantle of fine swirling grey ash, leaving the burnt fields and shattered cities behind them. Many Egyptians attached themselves to the host, for one who was great led them forth, a priest prince [Moses] of the inner courtyard.”

GROUND ZERO AFTERMATH

The Khumry give a detailed account regarding the state of Egypt well after the Destroyer fly-by. When reading these passages one gets the impression of a deep sense of sorrow for the great nation that once was:

“MAN:33:1 O great city, O heart of Egypt, your habitations are overthrown and your sacred shrines lie buried beneath the sands of time. The dust of ages enwraps you, as a dead one is swathed within the tomb. Your temples still stand and ring with noise, but the solemn shrines are silent. They have become an abode for the wild dog and scorpion, and your roads are highways of wickedness...The seasons were turned around, so that the seed rotted within the soil and no green shoots came forth to greet the day. All buds withered upon the vines, the land lay dead under its grey shroud. The moon changed the order of her ways and the sun set himself a new course, so that men knew not where they were and all were afflicted. The stars swam in a new direction and the whole order of things was changed. Yet, O Egypt, even from those days of calamity you emerged unbroken, your spirit intact, your heart unshaken. What has happened to you, O land of mine?

MAN:33:3 Weep, O land of Egypt, weep for the things that have gone. Weep for the spirit now departed...Weep for the destruction that has befallen you. Weep for all the beauty and glory that have gone down into the dust. Weep for eternal ages and sleep for evermore. Your spirit has departed, your life had ebbed away, your vitality has burnt itself out, only the empty corpse remains. The generations yet to tread the Earth will know nothing of you. They will see no more than the dead, dried, mummified thing. The loving life that once vitalised it so gloriously, they cannot know. O Son of Kebew, forgive the people of this land for their ways. Reveal your greatness by serving those who no longer walk in the light of your instruction, even as you served their fathers in days gone by.

MAN:33:4 My land, what have you become? You have left the true path of your faith and wandered into strange byways. You are bemused and bedazzled with things that disturb the senses, and have become like a ship adrift without oars...You no longer delight in the serene mystery of the stars above, your pleasures are in the filth beneath your feet. Where once you gazed upward in awe, now you look downward in degradation. O that this is the self-chosen fate of my land!

MAN:33:5 I go, for go I must. I depart, for destiny demands it. ‘When his motherland collapses about him like an undermined palace built on a foundation of mud, then it is not a time for hesitation, One man cannot stem a flood with his hand. When his habitation falls apart, it is time to seek another. Perhaps nations, like men, grow old and decay. My land is old, a hundred and twenty generations have passed through it since Osireh [Osiris] brought light to men. Four times the stars have moved to new positions and twice the sun has changed the direction of his journey. Twice the DESTROYER has struck Earth and three times the Heavens have opened and shut. Twice the land has been swept clean by water.

MAN:6:45 Pharaoh abandoned his hopes and fled into the wilderness beyond the province of the lake, which is in the West towards the South. He lived a goodly life among the sand wanderers and wrote books.

MAN:6:46 Good times came again, even under the invaders, and ships sailed upstream. The air was purified, the breath of the DESTROYER passed away and the land became filled again with growing things. Life was renewed throughout the whole land.

MAN:6:47 Kair taught these things to the Children of Light in the days of darkness, after the building of the Rambudeth, before the death of the Pharaoh...

MAN:6:48 This is written in this land and in our tongue by Leweddar who, himself, chose it for saving. It was not seen until the latter days.”

THE KHUMRY REFLECT UPON THEIR MIGRATION IN ASIA MINOR

“SOF:1:1 We took refuge with the sons of Uteno whose fathers had been in the land many generations, for they had come out of Egypt in the days of Pharaoh Nafohia. There on the borderland, we dwelt in caves above Kathelim. We were without books or possessions, but we were diligent and laboured to make the land fruitful. We knew ourselves as The Brothers in Light, but others called us The Children of Light, even as we are called to this day.

SOF:1:4 The land of our fathers and our inheritance has been lost to us forever. Their homes have been returned to the sands and their altars where they worshipped cast down. Their temples have been destroyed and the forms of worship practised there are no longer known.

SOF:1:5 What cause have we for sorrow? [Right now] We are in a bountiful land, we have hope for the future and an unshakable faith. Better by far than all else, we have with us the key to the ancient Portal of Communication. [See Nibiru and the 'Great Pyramid' Connection—GJ]

SOF:1:13 The land of our fathers is denied to us, so [now] we must seek another, for a man without a nation is more heavily afflicted than any orphan. Egypt was a land destined for greatness, its people should have led all others towards the Great Light. Egypt failed in its destiny because those who were entrusted with power and position proved unworthy. Its kings, who should have reared families dedicated to goodness and inspiration, betrayed their trust to satisfy the weaknesses of men. The leaders to godhood were misled and became ensnared in the deserts of worldliness, and those who followed them were betrayed. The priesthood became corrupt when it offered a life of ease and abundance, instead of a life of service and austerity. The ideals of man were above reproach, but man himself was unworthy of them. We have no need to change ideals, but to attain them we must change men. The sacred lore of Egypt, enshrining the treasure of the ages, was possessed by only a select few who safeguarded it as nothing else has ever been guarded, because of its greatness. Not only this, but even a little knowledge of it could be dangerous in the hands of any who sought to utilise it improperly.

SOF:1:14 Of all desirable things attainable by man, the assurance of his immortality, clear insight into the purpose behind his creation and true knowledge of the road towards the fulfilment of his destiny are the greatest. Those were the things so closely guarded, and just as they are the most desirable things on Earth, so are they the most highly priced and difficult to attain.”

THE KHUMRY BUILD A SEA-PORT IN IBERIA NEAR THE ROCK OF GILBRALTAR

From the Kolbrin MS we read that the Khumry Tribe, Sons of Fire, build a port city near the bay of a “Great Rock.” From my study of European geography, there is only one Great Rock guarding a large bay—The Rock of Gibraltar. Apparently it was foggy a lot during their stay so the Sons of Fire named this place the “Land of Mists.” See below:

“SOF:9:1 The Sons of Fire came to the Land of Mists, they and their households and their cattle, and all the tools of craftsmen. With them came others, men of Egypt and men of Javen. Also strangers who were not as valiant as are the Sons of Fire. Many among them were sickly and distressed in their hearts.

SOF:9:2 They took land among the barbarians [Celtiberians?] and built a city and a port at the place called Sadel...and cut roads about it into the forests. But they were kept in by the barbarians, and strangers in a strange land. The city was a place for buying and selling and men came and went. Ships came bearing cloth and pottery, instruments and weapons of war and all manner of things. The ships went away bearing things from the barbarians who dug in the soil. The place of the city was good, for it was fertile and well watered, and the bay was GUARDED BY A GREAT ROCK.

SOF:7:87 Hoskiah [the Khumry leader] governed many years in the Land of Mists and made laws and died in his old age...

SOF:11:9 When Hoskiah was past three score years of age he sent to Pelasi for the remnants of the Children of Light. None of them came, for they said it was not meet for them to journey to the edge of the Earth to dwell among barbarians. They said, “We will retain the light here, for out there it will surely be extinguished”

SOF:11:10 Later, four ships did come, but they carried the standards of Ashratem. With them came Enos Husadim of the SONS OF DAN [tribe], a learned man from the slopes of the mountain which rests in darkness and reaches up to the limits of light. He knew Hoskiah when a child. There came also one named Zodak, who had dwelt in Twalus, and he brought with him all the books of the Children of Light. With Zodak came many men who knew the mysteries of metal, and they brought with them the light of Amos. When they came, the spirit of Hoskiah had already joined his fathers.

SOF:11:11 Before his spirit took wings, Hoskiah wrote this for the guidance of his people: “My trusted ones, the time draws near for my departure on the Great Voyage and I cannot complete the tasks before my hands. In one thing, I have been neglectful, for though the Chief Guardian of the Records, the time I devoted to their care was little enough. Thank the priests for their care, I have recorded many statutes needful for this place. Their like was known before, but were not set down for men to see. Now they are made known to the ears of every man. Your welfare and safety has ever been my first concern, but I am a man of battle and a commander of men, not a scribe and recorder”.

SOF:11:12 “My trusted ones, we are few and the barbarians about us are many. For a while, they are well kept in hand, for Cladwigen wishes us well, and his sons are our friends. We have toiled to raise a city and men come and go freely among us. Many ships come in their season. Yet stout warriors who are not friendly press down from the Northeast and therefore, vigilance can never be relaxed. We cannot sleep peacefully side by side with the barbarians and must ever be alert. Danger hangs over us like a boulder upon the mountainside, and our safety is like a playstone in the hands of a child. The barbarians do not forget that we are strangers in this land and only while we serve a purpose are we welcome”.

SOF:11:13 “Yet, my trusted ones, with all the dangers around us it is the dangers threatening within that I fear the most. We are few indeed against the numbers of barbarians, yet we weaken ourselves with foolish strife one with the other and people with people. Our city is a place for buying and selling, a place where things are exchanged. Outside it is a marketplace where men come and go as they please and they buy and sell without hindrance. We have laws for the city and laws for the marketplace. Amongst us are many craftsmen who exchange the things they make with the barbarians who bring things to eat. We have a good life here, but it is not a life I fully understand. We came from afar to set up a city dedicated to the light, to hold the light. Yet, is this such a city? Do men seek the light and worship it, or do they seek luxury and worship wealth and possessions?”

SOF:11:15 “My trusted ones, my eyes may be clouded to the things before them, but I am not blind to your ways. Already our women cast their eyes towards the barbarians, and when women seek men outside their own kind it is a sign of a people’s degeneracy. I read what is written and I fear for the future.”

SOF:14:2 In the days when the city was being built, the barbarians came and went freely among us Many came but stood off and watched from afar, for they did not understand our ways. Among those who came was Cluth, the son of Cladda and brother of Cladwigen, and he talked with Amarahiti in the days when she was still in her father’s household. In those days she sat at the Place of the Talking Stone [Stone of Destiny?], which still stands in its place, for she was among those who sought to know the speech of the barbarians.

SOF:11:16 “Many who are with us in the light will join us and then we shall be stronger in arms and strengthened in belief. Yet our destiny lies among the barbarians. They are fine, upright men endowed with courage, do not belittle their ways, but bring them into the light.”

SOF:11:17 “Our city was not founded as a marketplace, a place for exchanging only the things of Earth. Neither did we come here as conquerors, but as men seeking refuge....”

Mysterious Noctilucent Clouds As Seen from Space

Mysterious “night shining” or noctilucent clouds are beautiful to behold, and are usually seen during the summertime, appearing at sunset. They are thin, wavy ice clouds that form at very high altitudes and reflect sunlight long after the Sun has dropped below the horizon. Scientists don’t know exactly why they form, but continue to observe them – both from Earth and from space. These images were taken by the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) on NASA’s Aura satellite.

Also called polar mesospheric clouds, they are puzzling scientists with their recent dramatic changes. They used to be considered rare, but now the clouds are growing brighter, are seen more frequently, are visible at lower and lower latitudes than ever before, and — as these satellite image reveal — they are now even appearing during the day.

Noctilucent clouds form in an upper layer of the Earth‘s atmosphere called the mesosphere during the Northern Hemisphere’s summer – at an altitude of 80 km (50 miles). They can start forming as early as May, and extend through August. They can also be seen in high latitudes during the summer months in the Southern Hemisphere.

What could the observed changes mean? Some scientists believe they are a good gauge of even the tiniest changes in the atmosphere, as they are extremely sensitive to changes in atmospheric water vapor and temperature. The clouds form only when temperatures drop below -130 degrees Celsius (-200 Fahrenheit), when the scant amount of water high in the atmosphere freezes into ice clouds.

Scientist Matthew DeLand of Science Systems and Applications Inc. and NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center has been monitoring polar mesospheric clouds with instruments that were actually designed to study ozone, including the OMI, which provides more detailed and frequent observations than previous instruments. This gives DeLand a way to refine his previous measurements of a long-term trend towards more and brighter noctilucent clouds linked to rising greenhouse gases.

These images at the top of this article show OMI measurements of polar mesospheric clouds on July 10, 2007. The clouds, detectable because they are the only things that reflect light in this part of the atmosphere, are shown in white and pink. The Aura satellite travels in a polar orbit, circling from south to north as the Earth turns beneath it. As a result, the satellite gets several opportunities to image the poles every day. This series of images shows the clouds over six consecutive orbits between 7:16 and 15:52 Universal Time. Throughout the day, a wide area of polar mesospheric clouds developed over northern Greenland and Canada, peaking around 10:30 UTC (the third orbit).

Another instrument observing these clouds is the Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet (SBUV) instruments, which have flown on seven different satellites over the past 32 years, and that wealth of data is showing how the clouds change throughout the day.

DeLand now has an index to help correct the SBUV measurement trends to account for the time of day. The correction allows him to develop a more accurate view of the long-term trend. Even with the corrections, the trend indicates that the atmosphere has been responding to increased greenhouse gases over the past 30 years.

The fact that polar mesospheric clouds are getting brighter suggests that the mesosphere is getting colder and more humid, says DeLand. Increasing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere could account for both phenomena.

The US fears that Saudi Arabia, the world's largest crude oil exporter, may not have enough reserves to prevent oil prices escalating, confidential cables from its embassy in Riyadh show.The cables, released by WikiLeaks, urge Washington to take seriously a warning from a senior Saudi government oil executive that the kingdom's crude oil reserves may have been overstated by as much as 300bn barrels – nearly 40%.The revelation comes as the oil price has soared in recent weeks to more than $100 a barrel on global demand and tensions in the Middle East. Many analysts expect that the Saudis and their Opec cartel partners would pump more oil if rising prices threatened to choke off demand.However, Sadad al-Husseini, a geologist and former head of exploration at the Saudi oil monopoly Aramco, met the US consul general in Riyadh in November 2007 and told the US diplomat that Aramco's 12.5m barrel-a-day capacity needed to keep a lid on prices could not be reached.According to the cables, which date between 2007-09, Husseini said Saudi Arabia might reach an output of 12m barrels a day in 10 years but before then – possibly as early as 2012 – global oil production would have hit its highest point. This crunch point is known as "peak oil".Husseini said that at that point Aramco would not be able to stop the rise of global oil prices because the Saudi energy industry had overstated its recoverable reserves to spur foreign investment. He argued that Aramco had badly underestimated the time needed to bring new oil on tap.One cable said: "According to al-Husseini, the crux of the issue is twofold. First, it is possible that Saudi reserves are not as bountiful as sometimes described, and the timeline for their production not as unrestrained as Aramco and energy optimists would like to portray."It went on: "In a presentation, Abdallah al-Saif, current Aramco senior vice-president for exploration, reported that Aramco has 716bn barrels of total reserves, of which 51% are recoverable, and that in 20 years Aramco will have 900bn barrels of reserves."Al-Husseini disagrees with this analysis, believing Aramco's reserves are overstated by as much as 300bn barrels. In his view once 50% of original proven reserves has been reached … a steady output in decline will ensue and no amount of effort will be able to stop it. He believes that what will result is a plateau in total output that will last approximately 15 years followed by decreasing output."The US consul then told Washington: "While al-Husseini fundamentally contradicts the Aramco company line, he is no doomsday theorist. His pedigree, experience and outlook demand that his predictions be thoughtfully considered."Seven months later, the US embassy in Riyadh went further in two more cables. "Our mission now questions how much the Saudis can now substantively influence the crude markets over the long term. Clearly they can drive prices up, but we question whether they any longer have the power to drive prices down for a prolonged period."A fourth cable, in October 2009, claimed that escalating electricity demand by Saudi Arabia may further constrain Saudi oil exports. "Demand [for electricity] is expected to grow 10% a year over the next decade as a result of population and economic growth. As a result it will need to double its generation capacity to 68,000MW in 2018," it said.It also reported major project delays and accidents as "evidence that the Saudi Aramco is having to run harder to stay in place – to replace the decline in existing production." While fears of premature "peak oil" and Saudi production problems had been expressed before, no US official has come close to saying this in public.In the last two years, other senior energy analysts have backed Husseini. Fatih Birol, chief economist to the International Energy Agency, told the Guardian last year that conventional crude output could plateau in 2020, a development that was "not good news" for a world still heavily dependent on petroleum.Jeremy Leggett, convenor of the UK Industry Taskforce on Peak Oil and Energy Security, said: "We are asleep at the wheel here: choosing to ignore a threat to the global economy that is quite as bad as the credit crunch, quite possibly worse."

Vatican Official Declares Extraterrestrial Contact Is Real

Monsignor Corrado Balducci, a theologian member of the Vatican Curia (governing body), and an insider close to the Pope, has gone on Italian national television five times, including recent months, to proclaim that extraterrestrial contact is a real phenomenon. Balducci provided an analysis of extraterrestrials that he feels is consistent with the Catholic Church's understanding of theology. Monsignor Balducci emphasizes that extraterrestrial encounters "are NOT demonic, they are NOT due to psychological impairment, they are NOT a case of entity attachment, but these encounters deserve to be studied carefully." Since Monsignor Balducci is a demonology expert and consultant to the Vatican , and since the Catholic Church has historically demonized many new phenomena that were poorly understood, his stating that the Church does not censure these encounters is all the more remarkable.

Balducci revealed to a visiting American professional that the Vatican is closely following this phenomenon quietly. My informant originally surmised that the Vatican is receiving much information about extraterrestrials and their contacts with humans from its Nunciatures (embassies) in various countries. But subsequent information indicated that the Monsignor has gotten his cases from other sources. Monsignor Balducci is a member of a group which acts as consultants to the Vatican on various matters concerning humans in possible contact with supernatural beings. As such, the matter of extraterrestrial encounters would fall within their purview, and possibly as well the spiritual significance of the emerging general realization of extraterrestrial contact.

Parallel information from National Security Council scientist Dr. Michael Wolf , a member of the NSC's SSG subcommittee for managing the UFO phenomenon, as well as from noted author and Vatican expert Father Malachi Martin, suggests that the Vatican is concerned that it will have a major doctrinal updating situation on its hands when extraterrestrial contact becomes authoritatively announced by world governments over the next several years.

Will the turmoil in the Arab world come to an end?

For those who have studied my books, and especially The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness (Bear and Co, 2004), current events in the Arab world should hardly come as a surprise (If you have not read this book yet, I urge you to do so soon if you want to understand the decisive time we are now entering. No book about the Mayan calendar has proven to be so accurate in its predictions and understanding). One of the theories developed there is that the modern nation state, and also the whole concept of dominance originates in the dualist consciousness of the National Underworld (6th wave) as this is essentially described by the so-called Mayan Long Count. The modern nation state as a social structure, and projection of the human mind, took its beginning in northwestern Europe at the beginning in 1617 of the Seventh day of the National Underworld. The countries in Scandinavia, the Netherlands and to some extent England were close to the line dividing the Western and Eastern hemispheres (the 12th longitude East) and so it was there that for the first time in history national institutions of rule were established which were independent of the particular monarchic dynasty that were ruling these countries. The concept of a nation state has since, throughout this Seventh day of the National Underworld, spread all over the world, mostly through European imperialism, to a point that modern people today tend to take this organizational structure as a given. Global politics, despite its many current international organizations, is still essentially based on relationships between different nation states. In reality, however, the nation state with a ruling government at its center is nothing but a projection of a particular human frame of consciousness timed by the Mayan calendar and related to a particular polarity field of our planet. One of the last regions of the world to embrace the concept of a nation state was the Maghreb (Arab North Africa), where borders were drawn up by European powers only as the sultanate of the Ottoman Empire collapsed in the early 1920’s.

One of the predictions that was made in my abovementioned book is that as the polarity of the Seventh day of the current Galactic Underworld (8th wave) was established on November 3, 2010 the system of dominance created by the National Underworld would come to be balanced by a complementary polarity. The result would be that not only left brain (and male) dominance would start to crumble, but so would also Western dominance and all the institutional framework that has been associated with this. The rug would be pulled out under the phenomenon of dominance as such. The only unanswered question has been how long time it would take for the human beings to assimilate the new global field change. In what order would these changes manifest in the current high frequency of change of the Galactic Underworld as we approach the Universal (and Ninth) Underworld with its uaxaclahunkin rhythm?

A clear expression of this end to Western dominance on a global scale was evident in the recent visit of the President of China, Hu Jintao to the White House when for the first time this seemed like a meeting of equals. Despite the fact that the US economy is still far bigger (on paper at least) than the Chinese, everyone now knows in what direction the relationship between the “consumer” nation (USA) and “producer” nation (China) is going. In the end the power of one nation to print money will not give the same solid foundation for an economy as the actual manufacturing of goods (Chinese patent applications will become the most numerous in the world in 2011). Today, many people take this changed relationship between the economic powers of the East (especially China) and the West as a given, but it truly deserves to be pointed out that this change was predicted based on the Mayan calendar and its various Underworlds long before it came to public awareness. The point to realize is that the balance between the East and West that is now becoming apparent is part of a cosmic plan of balancing the planet prior to the beginning of the Ninth and highest evolutionary wave of the Mayan calendar.

This balancing and the end to dominance that it implies in the Seventh day of the Galactic Underworld was also expected to generate renewed democracy movements and protests against dictators. What would then be more natural in the current Underworld than if these would start in Tunisia, which is located on the earlier mentioned longitude 12 East line separating East and West, which was the line where national dominance was initially established? (As it turns out my collaborator Barbara Hand Clow was exactly right when she said half a year ago that she expected this line to collapse as the Seventh day of the Galactic Underworld began.) A chain is broken at its weakest link and so it is natural that this also happened in the Maghreb region, which is among those where the national consciousness has been the weakest in the world.

As we know this democracy movement has now spread, notably to Egypt, where regardless of what form it will take the era of rule of Hosni Mubarak has come to an end. Several other Arab nations, such as Lebanon, Algeria, Jordan and Yemen, have also been affected by similar democracy movements. While the Western media have reacted to these events much with a “business as usual in the Middle East”-attitude, speculating about its effects on the geopolitics of the region and the strategic US-Israeli relationship, I think that we, with a background in the Mayan calendar, must instead recognize that we are witnessing something more profound. I think that the desire of the Arabic peoples to set an end to dominance (implying more democratic forms of rule) is authentic and deeply felt and even if there is a possibility of some theocratic regime taking power I believe this could only be temporary and not lasting. If nothing else it would soon become clear that such a regime would not be able to handle the economic problems that these nations, as well as the rest of the world, will be facing. As we know from the elections two years ago the Iranian theocracy is not particularly popular even at home. In the Galactic Underworld the global field no longer favors dominance and as we enter the high frequency of the Ninth wave this will become even more clear.

To provide further context it may here be appropriate to provide a quote from the Quran (Surah 82:17-19) And what will make you realize what the day of judgement is? Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment Is? The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. We should here be aware that the Quranic prophecies and their possible interpretations play a very significant role in the everyday life of the entire Muslim world, which is now in turmoil. What the quote above is telling us is that true Islam is not dominance. True lslam is not a theocracy like Iran, True Islam is not suicide bombers or terrorists like Al-Quaida. True Islam is not suppression of women. (Hence, I support Europeans, who resist that such practices are imported to their countries). True Islam is, as the word Islam means, “unconditional surrender to the will of God” whatever form this surrender takes. At least in my view this form may be very different from how official representatives of this religion has actually been practicing it, but as with Christianity and Judaism there is a whole range of interpretations of Islam ranging from Sufi to Scriptural. At the end of time, at Judgment day, this total surrender however seems to imply the end to dominance of one soul over another and I believe it is to this point we are coming now, which is expressed in the “democracy” movement we see in the Muslim world. The logic is that if you are to surrender to the will of Allah you cannot let any other human being (autocrat, theocrat or dictator) control you since this would conflict with eternal law.

Sufi Philippe de Vos points out that Islamic prophecy even implies the end to religion: “I find your explanation of the two different dates and time frames of 269 and 234 days very interesting. When we add the 234 days after the March 9, 2011 date we arrive at October 29. This year the latter date is the beginning of the Muslim pilgrimage the hajj, based on the lunar Muslim calendar and it is well known by Sufi masters that Imam Mahdi (= Kalki in Islamic culture) will arrive during the pilgrimage when the Arafat day (the 9th day of the pilgrimage) is a Friday. This is called the biggest pilgrimage - hajj al akbar - and it happens this year 2011, as Arafat day is then a Friday. This convergence is very interesting and in fact in the Islamic world this has already been announced without knowledge of the Mayan calendar. The particular role of Imam Mahdi is to bring Islam to its original state: The sanatana dharma or "din al qayyim", which is a Quranic word meaning "eternal law". The Sufi masters say, no more religions, no more Sufism and no more divisions. All will be "rabbaniyin" (Lord) as says sheik Nazim Cyprus mufti and leader of naqchabandi Sufi way."

To this remarkable quote Hopi brother Hohongwitutiwa has made the following comment:

“I'tupkom nihqe i'siwata, my brothers and sisters, I am adopted Hopi. My father was a priest of the higher religious order. I continue to share knowledge we were instructed to pass on to all of our brothers and sisters at this time. This information in many ways agrees with what Phillipe de Vos shared. Namely, that following the end of this Purification cycle, our Earth Mother will ascend to the highest position of our sun system as the new Morning Star, where there will no longer be any divisions, where all will live together in peace and harmony with our Creator, as One.

To reach this exalted life we are called to live much as Phillipe describes as "din al qayyim" (eternal law), which for us is called the Mongko, or Law of Life. To live in this way is to fully appreciate our Mother Earth as a great living being, from whom our lives are given to us, along with everything else we have. The Earth is our Land and our Life, and we live in gratitude to Her as our Creator, the nearest expression of the life and power of the Great Spirit that fills all of creation. We understand that the heart or core of the Earth is representative of that great life and power, which is why most religions still have their priests prostrate themselves face down to the Earth when they are ordained, and perhaps the reason why we bow our heads to the Earth when we pray, although these meanings are largely lost to our modern age.

Part of our Mongko relates to the operation of nature that has been progressing us for many ages within our sun system. This knowledge has been preserved by the Hopi, and perhaps remembered in the Mayan calendar cycles, which agree with our own that we are in the midst of a great change. That change for us, as described above, occurs in nature, and involves our Earth Mother's laboring to birth Her core-egg, the true reason for the changes we are seeing that pahana people call Global Warming. When the eggs of each world of our system are born-ejected, each will move-up to an orbit closer to the sun, where new species will be evolved (due to the excitation in our system during this time) adapted to live under the new conditions. For us, this will be the final step up our evolutionary ladder to what we call the Fifth World, and others call ascension, paradise, heaven, and other names. According to our understanding, only those who hold fast to the Earth through all the lures and temptations to come, living with love and selfless service to one another and the Earth (being the best people we can be) will inherit the wonderful Earth our Mother will soon become, when She becomes the brightest jewel in the sky.“

A Hopi can thus easily understand a Sufi and even if the language is somewhat different it is obvious that they have a common message including a purification and an ultimate state of oneness. I believe that the understanding of the Mayan calendar and its ninth wave provides the necessary framework of time for us to understand that these different traditions are talking about the same thing and the same process. Without the Mayan calendar and the timing of its Ninth wave we would not necessarily understand that the "din al qayyim" (eternal law) of the Muslims is the same as the Mongko of the Hopi. Without the Mayan calendar, the truths of different traditions, as diverse as the Sufi and the Hopi, could not necessarily be connected and unified. Most importantly, we would not be able to see the role we could play ourselves for the birth of a new world and the window of opportunity that we have to manifest this.

Thus, I look at the present “turmoil” in the Arab world not as “business as usual”, but as a beginning of a process of total surrendering to the All (Allah if you will) and the end of dominance of one soul over another that will be established through the Ninth wave ending October 28, 2011 (Although the time for this to settle is unknown). Hence, I do not think there will be an end to the current “democracy” movement in the Arab world or elsewhere for some time to come even though there may be setback reactions and ups and downs. (I place “democracy” within quotes because the movement at the current time is not really about some formalized form of governance with certain institutions, which in practice may or may not be democratic. It is about the much more fundamental path towards the end of dominance).

An immediate consequence, especially if the unrest spreads to Mashrek (Arab world east of Suez), is a dramatic rise in oil prices with two consequences. Firstly, a worsening of the economic situation in some already debt-ridden countries in the European Union resulting in significant lay-offs. Protest movements directed more specifically against economic dominance is then likely to continue there and elsewhere, as it becomes evident that the economic problems cannot be solved within the dominating structures.

Secondly, as a long-term effect there will be intensified efforts to shift over to other sources of energy than oil. I thus believe that very likely, especially for economic reasons, the birth of the new world that Phillippe de Vos and Hohongwitutiwa talk about will come to be very painful for many, and especially to those that deny the existence of a cosmic time plan. The high frequency of the Ninth wave will make it very difficulty for people to find something to hold on to as this seems to be designed for us to let go. Nonetheless, it seems that what is now in motion is a process leading towards a birth of a new world in love and oneness where no soul will control another soul. To go there I believe we need to become fully responsible for the world that we are creating and create this world out of a total surrender to the All.
