Lux Orbis

During the months of July, August and September 2009, I experienced a series of personal encounters with crop circles and the potentially related phenomenon known as ‘orbs’.

Three core events inspired me to focus on the mercurial spheres: (1) A large crop circle appeared on the farm I was staying at

Previously, I had paid little attention to orbs, being quite busy enough in other pursuits. However, I have been compelled to put experiential energy into studying them by virtue of my own independent encounters. I present this video as a document of my initial findings and also as a taster for some of the content to be explored in the forthcoming Sacred Albion project.




My preliminary research suggests that there are two types of orbs, which I classify as follows: (i) 3D environmental particulate matter or camera lens effects, and (ii) 4D conscious entities. Most orbs are of the first 3D kind. They are composed of natural ‘stuff’ floating around in the air, or lens reflections - dust, pollen, moisture, rain, snow, lens flare, refracted light etc. The second kind of orb, the 4D kind, seems differentiated from the environmental variety in that it is somehow self-illuminated and demonstrates independent movement. Whether seen with the naked eye or through a lens, they appear to absorb and/or sustain photons, rather than simply reflect light from an external source. They have more substance and feel intelligent. Some researchers suggest they are conscious energy in a plasmic state.

I have observed that by cultivating a certain fusion of Alpha-Theta brain waves, it is possible to formulate a channel for consciousness to connect the human mind to the surrounding fourth dimensional architecture which enfolds us. It is from this higher dimensional awareness that we can see the 4D orbs with the naked eye, and most interestingly of all, communicate with them.

Multiple independent studies suggest that the orbs ‘naturally’ use local energy systems in order to provide for visible manifestation. This has been repeatedly detected by researchers using EMF meters (measuring electromagnetic fields). The spherical form itself being a natural expression of many pure energy bodies in nature, at the micro and macro level (the prime example being a sun).

In mid-September 2009, I was part of a small group who travelled to a beautiful rural hill top in deepest Wiltshire, endeavouring to connect with the orbs through a series of conscious experiments. The location was well away from any light pollution, roads or human activity. It was also ‘charged land’ - that is, with natural subtle energies flowing through it, free from the ravages of industrialization, with many areas probably remaining relatively untouched for hundreds of years. Perfect for analyzing the subtleties of this decidedly elusive phenomenon.

We captured both types of orbs in our photographs - environmental and 4D - which I think is self-evident in the images. Of special interest to me, was the fact that during an intentional meditation, the orbs seemed to specifically respond to what I was doing. You can see this clearly in the photograph and in the video montage.

Session 1. We observed orbs in and around the trees. Some in particular appeared much brighter and denser than the others. We also photographed a moving rainbow orb that left a trail behind it, as well as a large red orb which reminded me of Mars.

Session 2. Inside, under regular electric light bulbs, more orbs were visible. According to one of our party, this is apparently rather unusual. It was noted that the orbs favoured the upper part of the rooms near the ceiling. The room was clean, dry and as dust free as you can get.

Session 3. I put my hands onto a telegraph pole, where we’d previously seen orbs moving around the power lines, and as I concentrated on the air above me, the orbs appeared to congregate much more densely than previously observed. When I concentrated my attention onto the wooden pole itself, a form that resembled an iridescent dragonfly appeared. We did not feel it was an actual insect, as it was cold, dark and the wind was blowing. As my eyes were shut, only the photographer captured the incident, but as the camera was some way off, and the anomalous object was distinctly self illuminated, we found this to be most noteworthy.

Session 4. The final meditation exercise proved most intriguing of all. As I shifted to a deeper meditational state, phasing brain patterns from Alpha to Theta, I formed a triangular dhyana-yoni mudra (meditation hand form). As I did so, three large orbs appeared over my head, forming a triangle that suggested they knew what I was doing/projecting. It felt like there was a definite intelligence moving around us, adapting its behaviour according to our conscious actions.

The instinctive impulse of course is to ask “what are they?” This is comparable to asking “how are crop circles made?” - an answer is perhaps not altogether knowable within the consensus reality construct. One has to move out of that to get to the heart of things, to truly appreciate the interpenetrating relationship between the collective projection of reality and one’s own dynamic reality tunnel. Let us broaden the thinking, ask the questions again and postulate possible answers. What are orbs? They are conscious beings. Where are they from?Why are they here? To experience and observe. Can we interact with them? Yes.

These personal experiences have certainly stimulated new ideas for research and I will be expanding upon them further in the Sacred Albion project.

1. The Latin Lux Orbis translates as “Light of the world.” It is sometimes combined with Lux Mentis Lux Orbis which translates as “Light of the mind, light of the world.”

2. Mudras

Dhyana Mudra. Gesture of meditation. The nerve channel associated with the mind of enlightenment (Bodhichitta) passes through the thumbs. Joining the two thumbs in this gesture is of auspicious significance for the future development of the mind of enlightenment. Represents overcoming the world of appearance, putting the senses at rest.

Yoni Mudra. Represents getting in touch with the primal feminine energies. Symbolizes a woman's vulva. Helps to form an energy bridge between the individual and the environment.

3. Thanks

One great part of writing for The Cleaver, giving interviews and speaking at conferences, is meeting people. Remote Skype dialogue is great (without that many wonderful conversations would simply not happen) - however, there’s nothing quite like meeting face-to-face, sharing ideas, humour and narratives. Finding the others, communing with the wider tribe - whatever you want to call it. (2) Through a camera, I observed a large blue orb in the crop circle in broad daylight. (3) With the naked eye, I observed a white orb in my room at the farm, hovering at chest height about 8ft away to my right. I since learned that both my orb experiences were old news in the sacred valleys and hamlets of rural Wiltshire. It was nothing special here. Previous visitors and residents (of various professional and cultural backgrounds) had also seen orbs, indoors and out, exactly where I was located, including some gliding across the fields. Many different places.

How to Digitally Record/Video a UFO sighting:

Stabilize the camera on a tripod. If there is no tripod, then set it on top of a stable, flat surface. If that is not possible lean against a wall to stabilize your body and prevent the camera from filming in a shaky, unsteady manner.

Estabilize a camera com um tripé. Se não tiver um tripé, então coloque-a em cima de uma superfície estável. Se não for possível, então encoste-se a uma parede para estabilizar o corpo e evitar que a camera registe de maneira tremida e instável.

Provide visual reference points for comparison. This includes the horizon, treetops, lampposts, houses, and geographical landmarks (i.e., Horsetooth Reservoir, Mt. Adams, etc.) Provide this in the video whenever is appropriate and doesn’t detract from what your focus is, the UFO.

Narrate on the shape, size, color, movements, approximate altitude of the UFO, etc and what it appears to be doing. Also include any unusual physical, psychological or emotional sensations you might have. Narrate any visual reference points on camera so they correlate with what the viewer will see, and thereby will be better able to understand.

Be persistent and consistent. Return to the scene to videotape and record at this same location. If you have been successful once, the UFO sightings may be occurring in this region regularly, perhaps for specific reasons unknown, and you may be successful again. You may also wish to return to the same location at a different time of day (daylight hours) for better orientation and reference. Film just a minute or two under “normal” circumstances for comparison. Write down what you remember immediately after. As soon as you are done recording the experience/event, immediately write down your impressions, memories, thoughts, emotions, etc. so it is on the record in writing. If there were other witnesses, have them independently record their own impressions, thoughts, etc. Include in this exercise any drawings, sketches, or diagrams. Make sure you date and sign your documentation.

Se foi bem sucedido uma vez, pode ser que nessa região ocorram avistamentos de UFOs/naves com regularidade, talvez por razões específicas desconhecidas, e talvez possa ser novamente bem sucedido. Certifique-se que data e assina o seu documento/testemunho.

Always be prepared. Have a digital camera or better yet a video camera with you, charged and ready to go, at all times. Make sure you know how to use your camera (and your cell phone video/photo camera) quickly and properly. These events can occur suddenly, unexpectedly, and often quite randomly, so you will need to be prepared.
