Part Three of The Ghost Phenomenon In The UFO
"Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir men's blood and probably themselves will not be realized. Make big plans. Aim high in hope and work. Remembering that a noble, logical diagram, once recorded, will not die."
-Daniel Burnham
"A physicist is just an atom's way of looking at itself."
-Niels Bohr
In terms of the ghost phenomenon, both human and perhaps otherwise, one of the more provocative examples of necromancy superimposed historically upon, by the tools of technology is the Hadron Collider, purposely designed to ironically search for the "god particle" present at the formation of the physical portion of the universe.
However, the consistent failure rate of this device have led, perhaps not surprisingly, to some unanticipated theorizing when it comes to the intentional tampering with forces one does not completely understand, in order to comprehend them by their provocation. One quote was particularly apt in the article cited blow was made by the famous physicist Neils Bohr who reportedly observed that “We all agree your theory is crazy. The question is whether it’s crazy enough to have a chance of being correct.”

In Part Two, I suggested the metaphor of weather forecasting as a means to encapsulate the situation of local versus global conditions, the appearance of random effects versus preconditions for their appearance. Perhaps it is time for us to come together to create the equivalent of a NASA program, not aimed at the physical exploration of the material universe but that which most certainly underpins it's existence.
If we make certain critical and theoretical assumptions in order to create a path of investigation into whether or not the ghost phenomenon of UFOs and more human scaled examples are created by a common set of conditions, could an environmental experiment be conducted? Let's leave the troublesome ancillary issues on practical funding aside. If the UFO will not come to us, can we move toward it?
The most basic assumption is that if we measure the environmental factors of a ghost phenomenon, we would be able to replicate them. This appears so elementary a possibility that it is astonishing that no one has seriously taken this challenge. Would this experiment be a benchmark regardless of it's outcome? Undoubtedly. Could we reach two ghost birds with one stone? Possibly.Again, Neils Bohr comes to mind in that "The opposite of a fact is falsehood, but the opposite of one profound truth may very well be another profound truth."
In our controlled experiment, we would require a multi-disciplinary approach which perhaps would include a physicist, a psychiatrist, a meteorologist,an electronics specialist, a neurologist,a geologist and a series of screened test subjects.
It has to be underlined that this is simply a measurement of environmental factors in order to model their parameters in order to conduct a second phase, which is to replicate them in varying permutations of degree.
Each step in a critical path has steps within steps.
A detailed survey of structures exhibiting long term "paranormal" activity in the form of criteria weighed against potential evidence that would be undertaken as a "first step" and this list narrowed to one with also the input of private investigative organizations, as reviewed by our multi-disciplinary panel. The second step would be a thorough survey of the structural design, materials used, and the environmental (geologic in particular) arrangements of the site, along with a thorough historical review as to the structures origins, purpose and former inhabitants.
The power supply to this structure would be severed not at the main within the structure but at the furthest practical juncture. A environmental survey of all the energetic aspects of the site would be compared with other nearby locations and a baseline established. The site would be secured and it's perimeter monitored.
All devices placed inside the structure would be heavily shielded to military standards, along with their respective power cords. The energy for same would be supplied by a remote generator enclosed in a shielded structure.
This would be a year long experiment monitored twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. In the fourth post of this series, we will investigate our site in specific terms using specific methodologies.
Is anyone interested in this experiment? Or, should we look for answer in proverbial comic books? It's our choice. Is it fear or courage that motivates us?
Perhaps both.
