A 1,500-Year-Old Byzantine-Era Church And Magnificent Colorful Mosaic Unearthed In Southern Israel 26 January, 2014

26 January, 2014 - About 1,500 years old basilica with a magnificent mosaic and five inscriptions have been uncovered during Israel Antiquities Authority salvage excavations, prior to the construction project in Aluma, a village approximately 30 miles (50 kilometers) south of Tel Aviv, the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) reports.

"The church probably served as a center of Christian worship for neighboring communities," according to IAA's archaeologists Dr. Daniel Varga and Dr. Davida Dagan who led excavations.

A pottery workshop was also found that yielded amphorae, cooking pots, kratersm bowls and different kinds of oil lamps.

The church is 1,500 years old with a ‘magnificent’ mosaic and five inscriptions, and is the first church found in the area which served as a large Byzantine settlement in the region located near the coast. Since it is on the floor it is not considered a cross in the strict Christian religious sense as people were not supposed to walk upon it. The mosaic will be removed and eventually displayed to the public in a regional museum. Credit: EPA

One of the inscriptions written in Greek contains the names Mary and Jesus and name of the person who funded the mosaic's construction, according to Dr. Varga.

A close-up of part of a large mosaic floor in a Byzantine era church Israeli archaeologists have uncovered in the past two months in Moshav Aluma, Israel, 22 January 2014. The Israeli Antiquities Authority reports the church is 1,500 years old with a ‘magnificent’ mosaic and five inscriptions, and is the first church found in the area which served as a large Byzantine settlement in the region located near the coast. "An impressive basilica building was discovered at the site, 22 meters long and 12 meters wide. The building consists of a central hall with two side aisles divided by marble pillars. At the front of the building is a wide open courtyard (atrium) paved with a white mosaic floor, and with a cistern," he said.

"Leading off the courtyard is a rectangular transverse hall (narthex) with a fine mosaic floor decorated with colored geometric designs; at its center, opposite the entrance to the main hall, is a twelve-row dedicatory inscription in Greek containing the names Mary and Jesus, and the name of the person who funded the mosaic's construction."

The main hall (the nave) has a colored mosaic floor adorned with vine tendrils to form forty medallions.

The medallions contain depictions of different animals, including: zebra, leopard, turtle, wild boar, various winged birds and botanical and geometric designs.

A large ‘Christogram’ or Christian symbol but not called a cross is a major element in a Byzantine church uncovered in excavation in the past two months in Moshav Aluma, Israel, and presented by the Israeli Antiquities Authority on 22 January 2014. The church is 1,500 years old with a ‘magnificent’ mosaic and five inscriptions, and is the first church found in the area which served as a large Byzantine settlement in the region located near the coast. The Christogram has Greek letters and birds which carry the cross symbol upwards. Since it is on the floor it is not considered a cross in the strict Christian religious sense as people were not supposed to walk upon it. The mosaic will be removed and eventually displayed to the public in a regional museum. Credit: EPA

Three medallions contain dedicatory inscriptions in Greek commemorating senior church dignitaries: Demetrios and Herakles.

On both sides of the central nave are two narrow halls with colored mosaic floors depicting botanical and geometric designs, as well as Christian symbols.

Glass vessels typical of the Byzantine period were also discovered at the site. The finds indicate a rich and flourishing local culture. This church is part of a large and important Byzantine settlement that existed in the region.

The recently uncovered church may have served as a center for Christian worship for all the surrounding communities.

Motorola Patents Device That Lets You Send Thoughts to Your Phone

Though filed in 2012, news of Google’s mind reading device did not get publicized until November 2013. On May 03, 2012, Motorola Mobility, a Google-owned company, filed to patent a tiny device that can detect a person’s thoughts via unvocalized words.

According to the patent, those thoughts/words could then be sent out to control a mobile device.

Interestingly enough, this device is designed to be printed (like a tattoo) on to the person’s neck. Though such a device coming to fruition is a technological breakthrough, there are many out there who are not really excited about wearable tech that can be affixed right onto the human body and can transmit private words to a mobile device.
Furthermore, there is some concern that such a device is owned by Google, who has been recently identified as a NSA cohort.

Mind Reading Device

Though filed in 2012, news of Google’s mind reading device did not get publicized until November 2013. According to the patent filed, “A system and method provides auxiliary voice input a mobile communication device (MCD). The system comprises an electronic skin tattoo capable of being applied to a throat region of a body.”

The patent goes on to state that the tattooed circuitry would consist of a microphone, wireless transceiver, power supply, and a signal controller. They way the device would pick up a user’s thoughts is that the microphone is sensitive enough to detect sub-vocalized words or even the neural signals that the brain sends to the vocal chords when we speak internally to ourselves.

Such a technology has a number of positive implications for a number of people. From a general consumer standpoint, the device would allow users to send unspoken messages, without the need to manually enter them, in crowed locale or in a locale that requires quiet. Another positive implication would be that the user would be able to use the device in the event of an accident.

Also, those with disabilities that affect the hands or the ability to vocalize words would be able to use a mobile device in tandem with the e-tattoo. These are only a few of the positive implications of the device, but it is not without some possible concerns.

Google and Privacy Issues

Google has had a number of issues with privacy in recent years; therefore, it is only natural that many people see some privacy issues with the throat tattoo.

Such concerns stem directly from the patent verbiage itself. One sentence (on page 7) states, “Controller of electronic tattoo can be configured to execute programs or instructions to enable communicative coupling of the electronic tattoo to external electronic devices such as a smartphone, a gaming device, a tablet computer, a wearable computer, for example.”

The cause for concern is that the patent never states that the controller would be solely the wearer of the tattoo, leaving it open for Motorola Mobility (i.e. Google), to remain in control. Additionally, the patent states that each tattoo will have an unique identifier; so, if multiple tattoos are an a crowded area, signals cannot be crossed.

However, opponents of the device state that this unique identifier could be use to track and identify specific users. The device has many opponents so unnerved that they have gone as far as to equate the device to the “mark of the beast” mentioned in the book of Revelation in the Bible. Such a claim has propelled Larry Page, Google CEO and Co-Founder, onto the list of possible Antichrist suspects for many opponents of the device.

There is no denying the fact that such a device, if built and produced, would be a technology breakthrough. However, is it really a break that the masses want? Furthermore, do the negatives outweigh the positives for the existence of such a device? Should it really be compared to the biblical “mark of the beast”? The biggest question, if produced, will you wear the Google throat tattoo?

Platinum Invests present world's first free energy car and plane

These guys have a car, the Titanium, that is sexier than the Tesla Roadster. They have a functional plane incorporating their technology as well, the Swing. These are powered by their Palladium generator technology, which could mean they will run endlessly without stopping for fuel.

More photos of the Titanium below, which is a slight variation of the kit car, the Michalak C7.
More photos of the Swing below. Design has been around for ~10 years.

Pure Energy Systems News
As usual, you are about to learn something for the first time here at PESN, which in a few months from now is likely to be bigger than anything Tesla Motors ever came up with.

This is about Platinum Invests in Spain, which has been #1 in our Top 5 Exotic Free Energy Technologies listing for several months.

We reported recently, that on January 11, Dr. Umberto Stranieri that wrote to me:
Hello Dear Friend Allan,

[...]As for the generator, as you understand we have made great strides. We have achieved the goal with costs by producing 25 KW 5 KW, with incredible savings but visible to all.

Always understand that it will give me great pleasure that you come to visit me in Spain. I'm finishing the last work on the car and electric plane that soon will be in the streets and skies of Tutto [?]. [...]

A hug, greetings
Dr. Umberto Stranieri
Then this morning, he gave me a link to two new videos they uploaded. The first is 24 minutes long and includes the following footage:
  • Assembling their biomass power unit.
  • Assembling their 20 kW Palladium QMoGen (my word for this class of devices, which they build from scratch, not from off-the-shelf components) [this is the design, I think, which he said they would provide to me to power my house with]
  • Dr. Stranieri driving their car -- Titanium
  • Flying their experimental aircraft -- Swing
In the title, I have a question mark because I've not yet received a response from Dr. Stranieri about whether their car and plane are powered by their generator technology. I'll update this page when I get a response.

January 23; 1:47 am Mountain. Simple response by Skype: ""

Here's the first video.
The second video is a slideshow of the above as well, with no video footage. It lasts 30 minutes. In addition to the footage shown in the first video, this one also includes:
  • Blueprints of the Palladium (Palladium starts at 2:16)
  • Photos of their office facility
  • Many photos of Titanium, their car, some of which I post below. (Starting at 18:55)
  • Many photos of Swing, their plane, some of which I post below. (Starting at 21:54)
Here's that video.
Description Translation:
These guys are obviously very significant players. They have nice facilities, professionally-built equipment, top-of-the-line design.

I don't know about you, but I was very impressed with their Titanium photos. That is one awesome-looking car. I want one! And when I go to Spain to visit, I hope I get to have a ride, if not drive one.

Here's a photo that contains three of the featured technologies, shown in photos below: the Titanium car, Spring aircraft, and Palladium generator.

Palladium Images/Photos

Built from scratch, the Palladium 20 kW home power generator would be a bit more expensive than solar, but without the intermittency of the sun. Except for the last one, which I grabbed from their video, Dr. Stranieri sent these images to me by Skype.

Reactor Photos

They've had a waste-to-energy technology operational for some time.

I Want to Go!

If you were me, wouldn't you want to take up Dr. Stranieri's invitation to come visit? I'm all in! Now I just need to figure out a way to finance the trip to go see (and videotape) their generator, ride in their car and plane, see their waste-to-fuel reactor demonstrated, and anything else they've got up their sleeves. This is one amazing company!

Of course, from an energy point of view, I'll be most interested in seeing their Palladium generator producing many kW without anything plugged into it. A price sheet brochure I received, which they asked me not to publish yet (prices [quite pricey] not finalized) states:
PLATINUM INVESTS GROUP in collaboration with the European University of Pernik in Bulgaria and other specialized institutions in the energy industry have researched and developed a basic system that guarantees the continuous production of electrical energy.
If you would like to chip in for the trip, that would be much appreciated. We also are running dangerously low on operational funds, so some extra would be appreciated as well. Scheduling a couple of weeks in advance, a round-trip plane ticket runs around $1500. Not bad.

While I'm there, maybe I could check in on TechnoKontrol.

How to Digitally Record/Video a UFO sighting:

Como registar digitalmente ou gravar um vídeo de um avistamento de um UFO:

Stabilize the camera on a tripod. If there is no tripod, then set it on top of a stable, flat surface. If that is not possible lean against a wall to stabilize your body and prevent the camera from filming in a shaky, unsteady manner.

Provide visual reference points for comparison. This includes the horizon, treetops, lampposts, houses, and geographical landmarks (i.e., Horsetooth Reservoir, Mt. Adams, etc.) Provide this in the video whenever is appropriate and doesn’t detract from what your focus is, the UFO.

Narrate your videotape. Provide details of the date, time, location, and direction (N,S,E,W) you are looking in. Provide your observations on the weather, including approximate temperature, windspeed, any visible cloud cover or noticeable weather anomalies or events. Narrate on the shape, size, color, movements, approximate altitude of the UFO, etc and what it appears to be doing. Also include any unusual physical, psychological or emotional sensations you might have. Narrate any visual reference points on camera so they correlate with what the viewer will see, and thereby will be better able to understand.

Faça a narração do vídeo.

Be persistent and consistent. Return to the scene to videotape and record at this same location. If you have been successful once, the UFO sightings may be occurring in this region regularly, perhaps for specific reasons unknown, and you may be successful again. You may also wish to return to the same location at a different time of day (daylight hours) for better orientation and reference. Film just a minute or two under “normal” circumstances for comparison. Write down what you remember immediately after. As soon as you are done recording the experience/event, immediately write down your impressions, memories, thoughts, emotions, etc. so it is on the record in writing. If there were other witnesses, have them independently record their own impressions, thoughts, etc. Include in this exercise any drawings, sketches, or diagrams. Make sure you date and sign your documentation.

Always be prepared. Have a digital camera or better yet a video camera with you, charged and ready to go, at all times. Make sure you know how to use your camera (and your cell phone video/photo camera) quickly and properly. These events can occur suddenly, unexpectedly, and often quite randomly, so you will need to be prepared.

Look up. Be prepared. Report. Share.

Olhe para cima, Esteja preparado, Relate, Partilhe.
