The God Rod
Rod: a stick, wand, staff, or the like, of wood, metal, or other material.
I have been thinking about rods ever since my interview with Jose Escamilla. If you haven’t already had a listen, here it is:
“Rods” were first filmed by Jose on March 19, 1994 in Midway, New Mexico while he was trying to capture a UFO on camera. Since then, he has honed his techniques for “sky fishing” and most people in the alternative research community have come across the phenomenon of rods. In fact, they have been appearing all over the place since first identified by Jose.
It appears that whatever these creatures are, they move at incredibly fast speeds. Although many have tried to debunk the existence of rods by saying that these are just insects or birds flying close to the camera, this explanation does not work for most examples I have seen. (Roswell Rods – trailer for Jose’s film.)
Why are people working so hard to deny the existence of these organisms? (If they’re even organisms..) There is definitely something going on here and I would like to try to put it into something of a larger context, so as to help us gain knowledge about rods.
I forgot to ask Jose why they are named Rods as I assumed it was because of their shape. I had not really even thought about the god Rod..
Throughout their long but preserved history, the Hindu gods have taken other form than the one they had originally had in the Vedas. At some historical times, Surya was more important than Vishnu. Shiva, too, does not have his name (Shiva) in the Vedas. Scholars believe that a much older name represents him instead – Rudra, which sounds like the word used for the most ancient Slavic god – Rod, who was the primordial god – creator of the universe.
The origin of the word “red” (English), or “rot” (German) probably comes from the primordial adoration of the god of fire, most likely a deity like Slavic Rod, Hindu Agni or Rudra. You will find many words with similar sounding both in European languages and Sanskrit – for example, the Sanskrit word “rakta” – English “red” (“rudy” in Czech, “rouge” in French, “rojo” in Spanish, etc.). The origin of the word “red” most probably dwells in fire, which had been adored and personified by all ancient and tribal cultures. (Had Slavic People Connections with Ancient Dravidians?)
The above image representing Rod obviously has great symbolic importance and looks much like the tree of life from Kaballah. Also significant to note is that Rod looks like “Poa,” which is a Vajrayana Buddhist concept I have been reading about in regards to the Apocalyptic cult from Japan, Aum Shinrikyo. This cult was blamed for the Sarin attacks in Tokyo in 1997 and their apparent justification was that they were killing people out of mercy so as to free them from bad karma, through poa. Also check out Etymology and Slavic Mythology from Russophilia if you want to look into poa- a bit more. (I have the powa!)
Rods also relate to the Tarot’s suit of wands, which is also known as the suit of rods.
(air rods)
Wands represent fire, the south, summer. They have to do with primal energy, growth, the will, inspiration, determination, strength, intelligence, intuition, and creativity. They deal with the spiritual level of consciousness. Wands mirror what is important to you at the core of your being.
Wands represent the element of fire. Wands are also indicative of all things that you do during the day to keep you busy, be it working at the office, home or the great outdoors. Wands are also about ideas, growth, ambition and expansion, original thought and the seeds through which life springs forth. Many Wands in a reading show that the “conditions” in which the Querent finds himself are based mainly in the realm of thought, or are in the first stages of development.
Wands usually refer to fire signs of the Zodiac (Leo, Sagittarius, Aries) and represents East or South, the lion, salamander, blond hair, and blue eyes.. (Biddy Tarot)
Okay, and now back to rods..
There is the fishing rod, with which one can provide sustenance for himself and his family. The rod, as seen above, is a very masculine symbol. That’s a nice skin colored handle you’ve got in your hand, Mr. Putin. A strong sublime-inal for all of the adoring Russian women, indicating Putin’s virility. I bet his divining rod has found water once or twice. Okay, enough of this.
The rod is most definitely a symbol of power..
Officially known as kinetic bombardment, “Rods from God” is the nickname of a “hypothetical” technology. From sftgate.com article:
RODS FROM GOD / Imagine a bundle of telephone poles hurtling through space at 7,000 mph
Although the fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan often takes place at eyeball range — as will most battles in what Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld now calls “the long war” — Pentagon planners are spending billions of dollars trying to figure out how to engage our enemies on the ground with weapons based in space. Efforts are also under way to figure out how to wage war in space, not just to bombard others from the heavens.
On January 31, 2010 from the Financial Times article US Military responsibilities to expand: The US will take on a broader range of military responsibilities, including defending space and cyberspace, in spite of growing pressure on budgets, a long-awaited administration report is set to conclude on Monday.
On February 12, 2010 the Guardian reported: US ‘Star Wars’ lasers bring down ballistic missile. Not exactly rods, but an important digression nonetheless. Now let’s draw back to the topic of rods..
Rods are the photo-receptive cells within our eyes that are sensitive to light and dark. Whereas rods can “see” in black and white, cones allow us to perceive the colors of the rainbow. The fovea (meaning pit or pitfall in Latin) is what allows for sharp, discriminating vision wherever we shift our focus. The center of the fovea is mainly comprised of cones and almost no rods.
In the night time, the rods in our eyes allow us to adjust to the low levels of light and quickly gain our “night vision.” However, because there are no rods in the fovea, if one is to stare at an object for too long in the dark, the center will actually start to disappear.
This is how I like to do my research. When there is much light, you can focus in on the topic directly, but when everything is shrouded in darkness, it is best to take everything in and scan the surroundings. So with that in mind, let’s look at rods in the popular culture.
On February 24, 1994 the well-known Simpsons episode “Deep Space Homer” aired. This was less than a month before Jose was to first capture rods on film. This episode is well loved by NASA and features Buzz Aldrin as well as James Taylor singing “Fire and Rain.”
In the episode, Homer complains to NASA about how boring their space launches have become. In an effort to improve the PR of the organization, NASA decides to train an average American to go up into space on their next mission. Homer ends up beating out Barney and blasts off into outer space. While there, Homer accidentally breaks open an art farm, convincing those on the ground at NASA that there are monster aliens taking over the ship, as the ants are moving very close to the camera and appear very large. They open the hatch to purge the ants, but are unable to seal it closed. Homer accidentally saves the day by jamming a rod into the latch. All credit is given to the rod, for whom a parade is held. At least that’s how I remember the episode. Homer the Astronaut. Update: Duke Westfold reminded me of the important line “they were about to show a close-up of the Rod,” said by Bart at the end of the episode. Also of note, the ultra-religious Flanders has a son named Rod.
Some other examples of the famous phrase involving Rod..
Maize Rage? Pretty corny. But that’s football for you..
Rod Tidwell plays for the Arizona Cardinals in 1996’s Jerry Maguire. I am a valuable commodity! I go across the middle! I see a dude coming at me, trying to kill me, I tell myself “Get killed. Catch the ball!’ BOO YA! Touchdown! I make miracles happen!
Oh yeah, the Cardinals play in Phoenix, which is also an article of mine in which you can see some other rods of god. But obviously that is not the only place you will find phoenix imagery..
I’m gonna be honest with you, Rod. You look like a giant eagle with fire all around you, and you’ve got a mountain for a face. That quote is from Rod’s friend Dave, who had been tripping on acid. By the way, on what do you ride a hot rod? A road. Trippy. Get it?
Before I conclude this little foray, let’s turn things around and look at it from a different perspective.
(rod/rope runs through it)
I’ve heard many researchers note that much of our language is actually backward. So what does “dor” mean in our current context? It relates to doors (of perception), dorms (for sleeping), dorsal (fin), Dora (the Explorer), Dorf (goes fishing), dork (me), adorable and much more.
I just couldn’t resist adding in just a little more nerd sex appeal in relation to dor..
I highly recommend this book. Here is a review from Amazon:
The author of the ground-breaking science-fiction novels Neuromancer and Virtual Light returns with a fast-paced, high-density, cyber-punk thriller. As prophetic as it is exciting, Idoru takes us to 21st century Tokyo where both the promises of technology and the disasters of cyber-industrialism stand in stark contrast, where the haves and the have-nots find themselves walled apart, and where information and fame are the most valuable and dangerous currencies. When Rez, the lead singer for the rock band Lo/Rez is rumored to be engaged to an “idoru” or “idol singer”–an artificial celebrity creation of information software agents–14-year-old Chia Pet McKenzie is sent by the band’s fan club to Tokyo to uncover the facts. At the same time, Colin Laney, a data specialist for Slitscan television, uncovers and publicizes a network scandal. He flees to Tokyo to escape the network’s wrath. As Chia struggles to find the truth, Colin struggles to preserve it, in a futuristic society so media-saturated that only computers hold the hope for imagination, hope and spirituality.
I know it seems like I might be digressing a bit, but just stay with me for a bit more as I turn things around some more, straighten them out, and let this force (the genie?) take me where it will..
(Or Flying Saucer and the Genetic Experiments)
The above story follows a naive little field mouse as it is introduced to the world of highly intelligent rats that were the product of government testing. These rats were smart enough to escape, formed their own society, tapped into the power grid of humans, and developed various other human-like characteristics. The rats plan to end their dependence on human power and establish a new farming colony. Apparently the film adaption, The Secret of Nimh, added a mystical element to the story that was not originally in the book.
Maybe Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a Nimh Rat. That could be the secret of the ooze (oz) and can possibly lead us to a better comprehension of one of the most famous Rods of all time..
Have you ever felt that the world was guided in ways that are beyond man’s control? The constant changes in the world since the time of Nimrod 4000 years ago until today and all the events that have shaken the world have been to bring the universe back into the hands of the Prince of Darkness, Lucia, a world that he had ruled with his Watchers before it was all ripped from his grasp when man was created. Nimrod Rising paints a diabolical picture of how the Prince of Darkness executes his evil plot to take the world back by force and destroy civilization in the process. From the Great Builder Nimrod in 4000 BC to today, 666 generations later, you can ride the storm of Nimrod Rising and experience the death of a world and the birth pangs of another. You will swear it is really upon us! (Editorial review from Amazon)
Perhaps the descendants of Nimrod are Nimh Rats of sorts. They could very well have started out as experiments in the laboratories of highly intelligent beings or ancient astronauts, but were somehow able to escape and establish their own society. Or maybe this could be telling the story of the alleged superheroes that exist in our world, escaping from the black operations that created them as weapons. Or it could even be describing our future, as we strive to free ourselves from the forces that seek to manipulate us as we move through their mazes.
These rods existing outside of the realm of our perceivable existence may be part of some kind of God force. These could be real life angels and/or demons. As these beings are swimming through all parts of the giant organism that is this planet, they might be acting as the blood cells of Mother Earth, seeking to restore life and vitality while also getting rid of the waste.
I think these rods will be shown to be part of something much older and more universal than the mainstream views of God and reality. What do you think?
